now its in the 9's with more money in it. He was running a ebay .57 trim on his orginal build and put down over 400whp and peaked at 6xx then disentagrated a piston.
Lol, okay, where does it say he only spent $2,000? Pistons are around $200. And a .57 trim turbo kit is was $1500-$2000 not even including the supporting mods.
shit for 2k he would be whoopin 99% of the srt's if he worked on a single cam d series VTEC

Then it'll need to be boosted then supporting mods need to come into play and that alone is WAY more than $2,000.

Honda parts are petty cheap & if he used one of those e-bay turbos (if it held together) the build could total less than $2k. Fortunatly most Honda owners lack both mechanical ability & common sense or else there would be alot of these cheap rice rockets

i have talked to them in person. Just cause the NEON cost 12234353231312 dollars for pistons and rods doesnt mean they all do. You get vitara pistons and eagle rods with whole gasket kit for under 500, 600 dollar ebay turbo kit with intercooler, and a zex cam 200 bucks. Tuning is on crome(free) and other little misc crap. Now like they said its not the BEST setup but they are pushing the vitara pistons to break (which after a couple passes at 600whp one did) but at 400whp it was running 10's all day long.

Duh, I said the pistons ran for $200 I know ppl with Vitara pistons. As far as the whole setup, can't see it costing less than $2000 but whatever. I'm no longer a Civic owner so I don't know what vendors are offering anymore for them.
Thanks for the reply. To accomplish that would I have to remove the toys? or is there a way to disconnect the PCM controlled boost.
No not at all. The PCM controls boost by varying the amount of boost pressure that goes to the wastegate actuator. All you have to do is rearrange your vacuum lines so it doesn't have control over that anymore. Then you'd basically just run a line from the turbo straight to the WGA with a manual boost controller inbetween and adjust the boost however you want.
Stage 3 PCM may allow for enough boost for your needs though so you may not want to do it. You can turn the boost up by adjusting the WGA to a limited extent without taking it off PCM control.
The disadvantages are that DAB would become useless and you couldn't limit boost in the lower gears. The PCM also wouldn't be able to adjust to changing temperatures. 25 psi in the cold is way more then 25 psi in the heat. Theoretically you'd get more PTB.
There are threads about rearranging your vacuum lines to take it off PCM control. It is simple. You'll also want a WGA with a higher spring pressure most likely. If you do look into all the options before you buy the most expensive WGA. I run my car like this and I like it better personally but I don't care about most of the things that others value from having PCM controlled boost.
I have an '04 Stage 3R w/ Toys and am looking to buy some upgrades. I'm somewhat new, so excuse some of the simple questions. I have made a small list of parts that I thought might help add some more performance. Any other suggestions are more than welcome.
Also, I believe I have the Mopar Blow-off valve Conversion kit (the plate). What would I need in order to run an aftermarket blow-off valve?
I wouldn't bother with more power mods, unless all your looking for is a highway monster. Work with the power you have. Get more of it to the ground. Upgrade the suspension, wheels/tires. Also a BBK kit would be helpful at this point as well. Do those things and you'll have a good all around car.

You're right I'm trying to get the power to the ground alittle better. I'm definitely buying a 2-step. I have solid engine and tranny mounts, sway bars, coilovers, strut bars and a bbk. Anything else you'd suggest to help hook up?
