Summary: New England SRT owners gathered at Trick Engineering Hampstead, New Hampshire on Saturday December 3, 2005. Two SRT4’s were used as test platforms, an 2003 stage 2 car and a stock 2005 stage 0. Data presented was gathered through the output of the engine ECU and captured using an AutoTap scan tool. Data captured by the scan tool was in .CSV format and then imported into Microsoft Excel, extrapulated and saved in .XLS format for publication.
FACTS
Location: Trick Engineering Hampstead, New Hampshire
Date: December 3, 2005
Time: 8:00 – 3:00 pm
Test Platform: 2003 Stage 2 SRT4
3" o2 housing and 3" side exit no cat
Iridum plugs gapped at .032
AGP WGA set to around 20-21 psi peak
Lorenzo TB 60mm with adapter
Devils Own Water injection (windshield washer fluid) Spraying from 16psi>up
Intercoolers Tested: AGP, CCA, CTI, MOPAR and SPARCO
DYNO: DYNO MAX 2000 “Pro”
Data was captured throughout the power range, 1st gear through 4th gear with peak engine RPM reaching approximately 6000. Adequate time was allowed for the engine to cool down between runs.
CONCLUSIONS
Included are the output graphs showing the results of Air Intake Temperature (Fahrenheit) and Engine Speed (RPM) across the power band. The five intercoolers available for testing were tested on both of the test platforms.
You'll note that the stock MOPAR performs poorly on the modifyied stage 2 car with air intake temp spiking to 93 degrees.
One amomilie I'll make note of is the AGP Race I/C temperature. You'll notice that after each pull the air temperature rises while all of the others drop. I can't explain that. But on the other hand, it does recover and start to drop when the next pull begins.
On a personal note, there are many factors to take into account when selecting and sizing an intercooler for your car. While these results may serve as a guide in your selection, you'll have to be the judge for what's best for your application.
NOTE: See thread FMIC Shootout Efficiency Chart Intake Air Temp/Engine Speedfor a quick view of the results.

It took awhile but its done. I'm still tweeking it the comments and conclusions. An Admin needs to make this a sticky along with the "FMIC Shootout Efficiency Chart Intake Air Temp/Engine Speed" thread.
niceinfo AGP is the best as of now, i think the new ED should be tested for flow and temps and check diff

its not going to gain you power but ir will help keep the power over long runs and high temps. If your running the stock fmic on stage 2 your heatsoaking aka reaching your intercoolers threshold to efficiently cool air going into the engine, and a few runs on a hot day will soak a stock fmic rather easily. Looking a your mods i would recommend you look into getting a better than stock FMIC and you will see a difference.
Hey what about i have two intakes. I have a AEM Short RAm and a K&N TYphoon CAI. I think the k&N gets more hp but its illegal in my state, would anybody know if I Put the CARB sticker from the AEM on the K&N and took off K&N stickers?
