i saw one clip of the MPX 3 inch TBE WITH cat but thats the only one... if anyone else has clips and or info on it please let me know i currently have an HP racing setup but i want something with a cat... so any info would be great!

Has anyone got hte piping from meineke with magnaflow mufflers? think it'd be the same asj ust buying a whole catback from magnaflow ??

Just switched out mufflers yesterday , and made sound clips of before and after. It's a BDJ's Racing 3" side exit exhaust. The first video clip is the exhaust with a 14" long 5" x 8" oval Magnaflow muffler, and the second clip is with same exhaust with a 24" long 4" round racing bullet Dynomax.

The Magnaflow was much quieter , but had a very low drone that annoyed me. They claim to sound mellow , and they do , but to me they are too mellow , taking almost all of the snaps , pops , and snarl sounds away from the car. Very smooth and non agressive sounding , and kind of a dull roar at WOT.
The Dynomax has a way more agressive sound , and will get many more cops looking your way. It is deep and menacing sounding , and lets all of the snaps and pops come through. It has no annoying buzzing like most regular resonators do , but has a nasty snarl to it. At WOT it is just really really loud , and sounds like a race car at the drag strip. The Dynomax muffler is probably the single most nasty and agressive sounding exhaust I have ever heard on a SRT-4 , and truly does give you images of a full on race car , but be warned .... the cops will know your name !

Considering they come from the factory without mufflers how is adding a muffler going to make cops more likely to pull you over? BTW what wheels are those?

Well ... My car was stock at one time for a couple of months, and I can tell you this : My car with this muffler is WAAAAAAAY louder than any stock SRT-4. Truth is , it's almost as loud as SRT-4s I've heard that have a 3" exhaust and NO muffler.

The wheels are 15.6 lb Centerline Storms. Send me a PM and buy them from me I'm ready for a different look.

Any clips of the Turbo Back Dual Exhaust System with racepipe and no resonator from Exhaust Depot, I am thinking about upgrading from my Needswings 3" DP with Mccord cutout.

Can anybody explain where the burbling and popping comes from and why it goes away with certain mufflers or resonators?

Great comparison videos of magnaforca and dynomax. I think mello is debatable, to me it sounds more ricer. I def like the dynomax more aggressive sound.

I am looking for a technical explanation for the popping. I have known a few modded srts that get rediculous popping and they like it but its not for me. Anybody want to explain it? thanks

The SRT-4 ECU was programed to do it on purpose. Basically when you let off the gas it goes very rich for a split second causing unburned fuel to exit out the exhaust. The hot pipes ignite it causing a backfire. The only way to get rid of it 100% is to get a stand alone ECU like the megasquirt or the AEM and tune it yourself. You can quench it with mufflers and resonators but it will never go away. The modded SRT's you hear probably have open free flowing systems and or bigger ported turbos.
