This exhaust is not nearly as aggressive sounding as the Borla exhaust. The Borla was definitely louder and had a better burble sound to it. I'm actually pretty dissapointed in the sound as I think the factory exhaust may have actually sounded better. I guess the quite factor will be nice for long highway commutes.

The fit and finish on the exhaust is really good and it looks pretty slick with my rolled rear bumper.

So if you're looking for a quite exhaust, this might be the one for you.

I hope I at least gained a few hp with this swap to make up for the lack of sound quality.

just my $0.02

do u have a sound clip of the MPX single i want to know how much quiter it is from the duels i have now

??? LOL. I have a muffler, but still not exactly quite. Alot more tollerable on highway though at 80mph. Before with dual mopar borla, drowning noise was unbearable for long periods of time. Sounded cooler outside of car than muffler, but my car is also a family car sooo had to get some noise reduction. Didn't want my kids going deaf at an early age.. also got maxxfab 3" O2 housing, mopar cat delete and mid pipe borla resonator from catback still. Can't hear the turbo thru my turboback since I have two resonators and Aero turbine muffler which has no packing material, just baffles.

Here's a link to my exhaust sound vid:

Your not the only one that wants to see and know more about that exhaust. I am so close to ordering it maybe tommorrow or the next day but even though its alot cheaper then most exhaust systems, $500 is still alot of money for me especially right now with me making payments on my car that I just bought about a month ago. I just want to make sure its worth it first and most people I have been asking is saying it is so I am pretty much set with it unless I hear otherwise.

Does anyone have a clip of the greddy system or an opinion on it. I have seen pictures of it but not really heard anything about it from an actual srt owner.

Default Modified HP Racing exhaust with E-cutout

A couple people have asked me what mine sounds like. I have S3/toys, ported IM, ported TB with AGP S3 WGA, steel wheel. Stock head and cams.

Exhaust has modified HP Racing downpipe (replaced DP with E-cutout cat/resonators, E-cutout). From turbo is Maxxfab 3" O2 housing for S3, QTP E-cutout, followed by Magnaflow hi-flo cat. Behind the cat, are two ten inch long 3" stainless resonators from the ExhaustDR on EBay. The rest is the stock HPRacing exhaust with camaro style Magnaflow muffler. When the exhaust gets louder, it's me hitting the E-cutout to open it up. Third clip shows the E-cutout open/close operation.

Do you think If I had a race downpipe and an 02 housing on a stock catback, that it would flow as well as same thing on a Borla catback? I guess what I'm asking here is, does what comes after the downpipe really matter that much? Right now I have both a borla and a stock catback. I'm going to put an 02 housing and race downpipe in and I'm thinking about putting the stock catback back in instead of the borla.

I have my reasons for opting for the stock vs. borla here, I just want to know if the borla would really offer any extra gains in this situation.

Please somebody give some input on this.

Why not just go with the stocker catback and a Needswings downpipe with an E-cutout then? Can be loud/quiet and flow as much as you need, whenever you need it.

Also, the Maxxfab folks did some tests on the Mopar Borla and they basically say that their is 19% flow restriction to the stock catback. Excerpt below:

http://www.maxxfab.com/welcome2.html

Down pipes can be ordered with the following adapters:

* Stock and unmodified Mopar adapter - Fits both systems just like the stock cat back, no modifications needed.
* Modified Mopar adapter - Connects to the 2.5 inch tubing on the Mopar cat back, removing the stock down pipe 2.25 inch bottleneck. The removal of the 2.25 inch reducer on the front of the Borla/Mopar exhaust increases the flow area by 19%!!!! If you can operate a hack saw, you can install this down pipe to the Borla/Mopar. Easy instructions are included where to cut the Borla for installation. Also included is a stainless clamp to secure the MAXX Fab down pipe to the Borla/Mopar exhaust.

Looks really good on there. Cant hear it though cause im not a member of photobucket or something stupid like that. Is it louder then stock? And did you notice any gains with it on? Looks amazing though im just worried about it having a muffler. I want no cat no resonator no nothing just to make sure their are no restrictions and I like having a car that sounds like a v8.

havent gotten a chance to really get on it yet, but from what i can tell its great flowing and absolutely no restriction... best part is its straight piped with no cat or resinators, but with the muffler its quieter than stock when driving normal, and when i get on it from what i can tell it roars! best price ever, and i couldnt be happier with the fittment
