Heres my exhaust, its just stock exhaust without the two resinators. I think it sounds awesome, deep tone at idle and can hear the turbo whistle through it.
Hey 'o3, that sounds nice with the resonators removed, did you just piece in where they were cut out? If I do it I'll have a shop do it, I will also be hooking a o2 and a downpipe soon ,but for now this MAY WORK!

Yeah, the front of them clamp on, so just gotta undo the clamp, then the second one is right before a bend, so you have to cut it off flush with the end of it to get the replacement pipe on before the bend. It takes a 41" piece of pipe to replace them. Its a cheap way of getting a good sounding exhaust.
Does it have a muffler as well or just a resinator? If it just has a resinator, i would think it would sound basically like mine...maybe alittle different.

I've heard it in person, it is loud as hell and sounds mean as shit. The only reason I wouldn't buy it is because part of the piping is like 2-3 inches from the ground.

the borla has only 1 resonator and thats it. but im thinking that i wont get the power gains from removing it like i would with a dp. its just that the dp's are a bit loud

Once a problem is fixed, I tend to move on.
Most people who have heard it rev have confirmed to me hat it's really quiet with no backfires (er, I mean afterfires ).
No reduction in power.
Go agead and try it and if you want quiet power, you'll like it.
Anybody have links to an injen downpipe? My friend has one to sell me but I've never heard it and would like to hear it. If it sounds nice I will get it from him..
Also.. '03.. Did taking the resonators out give you any noticeable hp gains?

But it is definitly quieter with the single tip and the Magnaflow.
And the afterfire is almost zero.

I would think the MaxxFab 3" single tip that comes with the same Magnaflow muffler would be very similar.
