Engine Rebuild

I have a question in regards to the bearings to be used. I got a quote of a build with King HP bearings being used. Are the King HP bearings any good and are they really that much different then Clevite and others that are used. Here is one quote for a rebuild of my block:

Wiseco Piston & Ring Kit
Manley Connecting Rods
King XP Series Coated Rod Bearings
King XP Series Coated Main Bearing Set
Fel-Pro Full Gasket set w/laser weld MLS Head Gasket
Mopar Oil Pump Assembly
Timing Belt + Water Pump Kit
ARP Head stud kit

That's the majority of the rebuild so far. Any information will be greatly appreciated thanks!

Not sure what your question is. Are you asking if King Bearings are any good? A Lot of people like and use them that own SRT4s.
Personally I don't like coated bearings but that is me.

What HP/Torque are you building this block for? You may need a strap kit and make sure to remove the balance shaft unit and plug the oil feed hole to it.

I'm shooting for 400 HP nothing really big for it is a daily driver as well. Later on I plan on doing a Stage 3 Turbo after awhile of driving with the rebuild being done

strap kit is like 400-500 bucks....put it in now rather than have to pull the motor apart to do it later. I've seen bedplates crack under 500 whp
atroph and Ridin59vette like this.

go ahead...change yours too now; again

What is a strap kit? I'm new to the scene and haven't really heard anything about a strap kit for a motor.

Strap kits reinforce your bedplate since it's under stress from the added tq. Without it the bed plate can crack

How reliable an engine with 400hp would be driving at the track? any comments?

It can last as long as the owner can maintain it. 400 whp is within the capability of the stock motor.

My car went all the way to 180k on the stock motor; had a big turbo on it since 30k and was making 450+ whp for almost 70k. If I kept it below 450whp it would have likely lasted even longer (no fun in that though)
