So I just finished submitting my form for duster's tune! I'm just so excited I'm just wondering if anyone else has got his e85 tune and how long it took to get! Entertain me while I wait!
I'm in the same boat, im doing my logs this weekend and buying them on sunday. Pretty excited about it. Itll be nice bein around that 300 pony mark:grin::grin:
Yeah your clutch will shit the bed...... I recommend ACT for clutches as that's what I have. I have the 6 puck which is a bit noisy but it grabs like a mofo
I only ran the 93 tune for maybe one tank of gas before filling up with corn. I couldnt resist!
Its a night and day difference. I havent adjusted anything either and im ~12 afr to redline.
Im only at about 31* timing at redline also. Not sure if i should go about advancing it a little. If i did, would i actually notice a difference on the street???
Guess it all depends on driver. Turbokinetics clutch started slipping the same day he ran dusters injectors and e-85 after a few wot passes. Id recommend replacing stock regardless
My car has a stock clutch in it and it slipped baaaaad with his tunes and now even on stock S3 slips. I've got an ACT 6 puck coming as that seems to be the best choice for these cars with higher hp.
Just got injectors fuel pump and tune installed, hopefully if I ever do a fuel pump install again it'll go smoother now that I know what I'm doing, but it was nice knowing 1st and most of 2nd gear but ya they're gone now, couldn't be happier and I heard it's better after the 2nd or 3rd tank
Oh ya, gf was drinking a monster and I "accidentally" got on it and she spilled her drink all over herself ha I told her to email Dave about that its not my fault...sorry duster
Sorry to be a newb but does anyone know if Duster tunes AEM FICs as well. I have a turbo 2.4l 1st gen with an AEM FIC and I'm not familiar with tuning them as I usually stick with the megasquirt but I got this car off a friend and need some help tuning it.
I plan on running e85 most the time until I put it away for the winter, will it just kill the stock pump faster or is it going to be too lean you think? Im on stock turbo duster's base tune at like 22 psi.
Plus the 255 is only a hundred bucks and it'll come in handy in future if you plan on upgrading layer on down the road, good learning experience imo installing it if you have never done one
But if I don't have to spend $100 dollars there's no need to  I don't see myself ever wanting more power than it'll be at after this. Doing suspension stuff next go around.

E85 needs more flow than regular gas. The pump needs to be able to push a higher volume of fuel for a given psi. I don't think the stock pumps are up to that task at all, but i've never tried it myself. A 255 is just good insurance if you plan to go e85.
Been 4 years on Duster's E85 only ran his gas tune once loving the E85 tune Just the 255 pump and his injectors and his DSP tune.... E85 burns about 30% more then regular gas so if you want reliable daily ride I'd get a bigger fuel pump like the 255....If you think you will just use E-85 once in a while I'd use the money else where since its not like a NOS bottle it takes alittle time for the car to adjust like a new car.... I gotta get in touch and see how the tune is with the current mods car has now but amazing difference and not much loss other then long trips its nice to carry a 5 gallon tank of E85 incase do to not a lot of stations around.... I do have a 2003 where some 04's and 05 the gauge sender wears out...
I think Duster has Nigel do the AEM FICs but I don't really know...
That's good to know you have had good luck with the tune. Have you had to replace any of the fuel system parts? What do you do for maint.? I do plan on running e85 most the time so I guess I need to get the fuel pump  I have an 03 also so I lucked out there lol, they have e85 proof DCX ones on ebay so not worried about that. Yeah the availability is the only thing a little sketchy, but there seems to be a lot of stations with it here in Ohio.
So you can get almost all of the benefits of running straight e85 by running a 50/50 mix of e85 and 93 octane. This mixture is like running VP 110. My friend is a chemical engineer and his wife is a chemist and we did some experiments and tested all differrnt mixtures and the 50/50 gives you the best compromise between full e85 and 93. We did test the mixture for water intrusion and its reaction to rubber, since e85 will cause rubber to swell and degrade. There were no issues with the rubber or water intrusion. He ran this in his 700hp Mazda speed6 for years with no issues. No need for meth injection any more.
Been doing this for years. Not so much 50/50 more like 75[91]/25[e].and deff could tell the difference and also only lose about 20_40 miles to the tank with the mix.
I am new to the srt4 world as well and first things I did did was did was the 255 pump, 3 bar map and tip as well as we the diablo with dusters tunes. Love it! However once I started dialing in a/f and adding timing my clutch could not handle the spike at all! Time Toth order one now. Thinking all out going with the bw s256 so still deciding on the clutch that will handle that.
Haha ya mu clutch shit out real quick too, but I'm actually going s256 in the future and I think I decided on the ACT XTSS as the clutch, I don't plan on going above 400whp so I think it should be able to handle the torque no problem
