If the cam timing timing was truly off, then there's no doubt in my mind that would be your problem!

Glad you figured it out, if it was just a timing problem would the car make a small ticking sound from the engine at idle?
yep. timing all around was messed up (tentioner was loose). it was off a tooth and a half. not only that the wga hex key bolts around the wga were backed out. everything got tighten down and timing was reset...now it rips. will dyno it on pump gas soon.
