Well I first started with the green line when I first installed my AGP and for awhile it was nice, but the initial spikes were too much and it felt a little surgyish

I switched to the blue per what Nivo and Jean did originally and my car runs SO much better now. Its wierd...sometimes seems that every car is different...eventually I will get some sort of EBC.

Ultimateone- So you are just running a WGA.... when you are driving normally do you always make sure your not getting PTB?

I think it depends on the wga used using the agp which is adjustable is just like having a boost controller look at srt4gurl she ran just the agp with stage one, aftermarket bov and exhaust and had just as fast time at the track as with the boost controller. I do agree that a wga with mbc is much better then just the wga alone.

wga is fine... but EBC make it so u can fine tune quicker and easier.. if you boostin 16psi with wga or mbc or ebc won't make no difference.. 16 is 16... (supposely ebc hold boost better)

it's safe to get a ebc eventually but you can run with out a controller.

Great write up.=) But i still have a question: Say you set your wastegate to 14psi so you dont drop below that between 5 and 6k rpms. How is it that a dual stage BC can now hold anything less than 14psi? or rather can they? Thinking of going greddy profec b spec 2, and agp wastegate. Was at first thinking i could set my low boost setting to 11psi for around town or even racing to help stop the surge, and maintain traction, then hit the high boost so it would spike to 18 and hold 14 to redline.
But not seeing how any BC could do this if the wastegate is set to higher than the BC's boost setting.
I really am wanting to avoid that flutter that to me sounds like compressor surge, am i stuck with the stock WG to avoid it?

In effect it cant, although you may set it to control there the tuning of the wga will keep it from happening. In order for the wga to open the wastegate 14 psi of boost must be present to start/keep the arm moving.

I imagine most people set the wga to hold about 12 and use a boost controller to do the rest.

Is there any reason why my check engine light is on? Yesterday I had the profec b spec 2 installed with the agp wga already on the car. I took it to a turbo shop and had them tune the ebc. after a an hour of driving the car my check engine light came on and then everytime I'd max boost in my low and high boost settings the warning sign came on. Does anybody know what could be wrong?

What code(s) does cycling your ignition key three times (without actually starting the engine) produce on your dash gauge?

I'm not getting any kind of code when I cycle the ignition. The only thing that happens is my check engine light blinks 10 times. Could you give anymore kind of advice? Thank you.

If your running a stock PCM it could likely be related to an overboost detection, but I would have expected a code to be recorded.

Have you tried to reset/clear (by disconnecting your negative battery terminal) your pcm to clear the engine light ? might be worth a try if you have not.

also looking for some help here, i was told that to control boost on m stock turbo and computer that a wastegate would be the best way w/o a boost controller, i have a greddy profec but i was advised to sell that and just buy the wastegate? any advice on this?
