I have a question I'm hoping someone can explain it to me. Long story as short as I can... I have the AeroForce gauge so I can record two sets of parameters at a time. To tune I used RPM and A/F ratio. I just glance at my tru-boost gauge to see where the boost came on at while I was doing the whole road tune thing. anyway, once I got it tuned to about 11.8-12.2 at what I thought was 22lbs of boost with 94 octane pump and meth injection. I then turned to the timing knock retard and intake temp to make sure they were in check. well, when I first floor it I am pulling 15 degrees of timing and that quickly drops to 8-9 till redline. So I looked at the EBC and boost starts at 22 by about 3000 and steadly go up to 26-27 at redline I understand the timing being pulled because of WAY to much boost but why the boost creep? could my boost soleniod be bad? I've already did the boost leak check to about 20psi and it is good, not leak free, but close. Should I get it perfect? Any advice is welcome and appreciated
Check your lines. Make sure none of them are crimped or anything like that. Also, it ery well could be a bad boost controller. Which controller are you using? That would help me a out a lot...
I'm using the AEM Tru-Boost with the 30-2400 soleniod. I've checked all the lines to make sure they are still zip-tied or clamped. I ran the boost line to my trunk mount W/I thru the frame so I can't check that but everything else checks out. I did lower the boost down some and it doesn't seem to creep anymore. Maybe it was leaking at that much pressure. I did only leak check it to 20lbs. I might do another one tomorrow to about 25lbs and see what I find. I'm now running about 21-22lbs with no creep? Go figure. Thanks tho
AGP GT40 and enjoying it @21 PSI Can't wait to see dyno #'s I should've gone big turbo from the beginning, instead of messing around with stocker stuff.
i just got the hahn 20g... put it on and am still in the "tuning" process.... i'm lovin it right now... i love the sound of it spooling, i love the way it sets you back in your seat, and the horsepower it offers....
cons.... it takes a TON of research to get things running correctly if you do this mod yourself and don't take it to someone. but reading about all these big turbos isn't so bad... just making me itchy for the day when everything is tuned perfectly and i'm SLAMMIN big numbers at the track!

<---- loving the .50 trim on stock stage 1 fuel @ 11psi of boost... and still beating those 300 whp bolt on'ers
lmao i'd hope so bro... however, watch out for those 300whp s3r guys... any big turbo likes to see higher boost than 11psi so if you race a s3r car making 300whp i can see you getting spanked sorry to say..however get some bigger injectors, fuel pump and return line and get that bitch tuned to 400+ and go beat some ass (in more ways than 1 )

I just picked up a agp 50trim. I was planning on getting some 750's right away and a returnline later on when i have more money but not for a while. How many of you guys are running 750's with no return line and hows the drivability? What are you guys doing as far as tunning low throttle and idle with your fuel controller?

I can tell you now its going to be shitty as f**k ... you'll be running super rich and wasting more gas than your motor will like...

Depends on what piggyback you have. Personally I had the e-manage and in the airflow adjustment map you had to pull ABOUT 70% of your fuel at idle... idleing your AIMING for as close to 14.7 as possible... not 14.8 not 15... 14.7 ... its not going to be perfect but aim as close to that as possible.... as far as partial throttle goes... same thing... pull fuel accordingly and you can bring it into they high 11 low 12 range since your only PARTIAL throttle. However, REALIZE that the more throttle percentage you put in the MORE fuel you'll have to add and the closer to 11.5 afr (as a set safe point) you are the better off you'll be...
^^^^ not true my buddy karkraft does not have a return line, he has a fuel controller, and a pump, and injectors and hes doing ok on a 50 trim 11.2@128mph w/spray
i got a h1c holset, bullseye power adaptor, dtec fc bc inovate wideband xs bov rc 750,s runs great and im re-sealing turbo ,basic rebuild 1hr to take off rebuild and put back in,starts spooling 3500 chose your psi from there on ,stock cams s2 ecu, crane 16's next month street tuned
I read all what... 7 pages of this, and I can't believe not one person mentioned how much of a pain the install was.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe 50_Trim_Install > me.
I'm sure it has more to do with the fact that I didn't get my 50 trim from AGP.
No one said that their 50 trim wouldn't fit to the stock charge pipe w/o modification of the charge pipe. No one said that the coolant overflow bottle now rest on the wastegate. Cause I didn't get mine from AGP, it already had a wastegate re-route... so I was good-to-go there. How about ARP exhaust studs being too long for the manifold... no one said that. And the fact that it's smart to get a BOV in addition to the 50 trim kit cause there is nothing within the kit to prevent your turbo from surging.
But... once you get past all of that like I did... wheew... Have a great time replacing your tires, changing your oil every 2K miles, going to a stronger clutch, and removing those balancing shafts so you have no other problems with all the fun you're having. Fun times.

Lets switch gears over to the main charge pipe that runs from the turbo outlet under the engine to the intercooler. In order for it to fit, your going to have to modify it where it connects to the turbo.
As far as upgrading the clutch, tires, etc those are all pretty much common sense when it comes to adding a significant amount of torque to a stock car.
