Default Big turbo o2 housing

Will a kinetics o2 housing fit on an AGP manifold? No problems? Legit?

After a bit of research, yes it will fit, but kinetic is stainless steel, they're known to crack at the welds, and thy're 2.5 all the way down as opposed to 2.5 opening to 3.0 like the AGP.

I've never heard of a cracked Kinetic O2 housing... you might be hearing of their cast manifolds. I'm a machinist and I've paid close attention for the last 3 years and I've heard of only 2 cracking, so its not like an epidemic. I've also seen 2 cracked AGP manifolds too, so it seems par for the course. The only bad O2 housing I've seen was an AGP unit that wasn't fully welded around where it expands from 2.5" to 3", AGP left a hole in the weld the size of a pencil tip that created an exhaust leak, and AGP took it back and fixed it.

I've held both a Kinetic and AGP O2 housing together (and the manifolds too), and both have virtually identical flange angles... so close that I feel confident saying yes, they're interchangeable.

The only functional difference between the Kinetic and AGP setup is the Kinetic is set up for a recirculated wastegate discharge, where the AGP is set up for an atmospheric wastegate dump. For O2 housings, Kinetic has always used stainless steel and appears to be laser welded, where as AGP welds them by hand and recently changed from some cheaper metal that seems to rust (mild steel?) to a higher quality stainless steel as well.

Actually, our O2 housings are made out of stainless steel as well. We have been doing it this way for a little while now.

(Cross posted to Stainless Steel O2 Housings and Dump Tubes!)

Hi Jon, thanks for correcting me, I just edited my post to reflect the changes.

When did this changeover happen? I actually have one of your O2 housings and dump tubes, and they're both becoming significantly rusted to the point where I'm becoming very concerned about them.

Since it's only been a little while since it went to stainless, do you have an exchange/upgrade program like you did (do?) for the welded log manifold owners when you guys released the cast manifolds? I'd seriously be interested! Probably others, too...

Thanks!
