I had 3 intakes in my car, AEM, K&N and the stocker, couldn't tell the difference between the 3. All felt the same. I'd save the $200 bucks and buy a wastegate.

Agreed 100%! I've actually had those exact same 3 intakes on my car as well and the only difference you're going to get is the sound. If you're willing to pay a couple hundred bucks for a louder turbo spool then great. But just know that's about all you're gonna get.

if you really want an aftermarket intake Save yourself the money and just get a short ram. Don't get the k&n intake, that thing is garbage. I'd keep the stock intake over that.

Go to autozone and buy a $20 peformance air filter in the color you want and just clamp it right on the end of your turbo!!! haha. free up room, hear your turbo spool better, and still have clean air and good flow! -.-

X2, what's up with these intake q's anyway. I thought all this was resolved in 2004.

They actually did some dyno pulls in a test where they tested the cai filter on the turbo vs a short ram and cai and I think it lost close to 10hp being connected directly to the turbo. So I wouldn't do that.
here we go with another "cai" question......this has been covered 123,437,000 times, on the stock turbo a cai or sri will not, i repeat will not get you any better than the stock intake box. unless you are going to use a turbo with a 3" inlet then get one, other than that do not waste your money. end thread
This is funny...What came first, the chicken or the egg?? Did you guys buy your big turbo before or after your CAI/SRI??
My car had the CAI when I bought it. I kept it because I have my FPR bolted to it but, I will be modifying it to make a SRI because my tire hits the pipe that goes in the fender & the filter is touching the foglamp
I have a SRI myself. Didn't want deal with the chances of sucking in water with the CAI.(DD) I just opened up, or cut out, the hood for more cool air to the filter.
