i had the same poor idle and part throttle problems when i gapped my plugs below .040 but since changing to different wires i can run the gap lower....still don't know why, but i'm glad you got the car running good again.BTW the Hip Hugger rocks... me and some from friends might be making a road trip once the weather breaks
