ive heard if u have stage 0 expect to throw a code with the agp wastegate. i think overboost code. and also when i do put it in i plug the red line going to the coldside pipe on the intercooler. would stage 1 help with the overboost code.

yes s1 would help with codes but get the FM WGA and be happy. FM FTW!!! I have 0 PTB and have it set at 16 spike 15 hold! I had it at 18 spike 16 hold but dont like spiking that high on a stock pcm.....better safe then sorry!
OH...dont forget about putting a different spring in the AGP!
I have had both the forward motion and the AGP wastegate actuators, and by far the FM is the better of the two. Infact I would have to say the FM is probably the best. I am running 26 psi on my E1 turbo and the FM WGA is still holding 22 psi at redline. When I ran the turbo at 23 psi the FM WGA held 20 psi at redline
I ran the AGP wastegate with the same psi level as the 23 psi and the best I could hold at redline was 16-17 psi.
FM by far better of the two.
This is from another thread that I save before I got my FM WGA. I havent ran the AGP but for what ALOT of ppl have said about both....FM FTW!!
good one...well my girlfriend already bought me the agp. so where do i get an aftermarket spring for the wastegate
the only upgrade spring that i know of (and have) is from pt-p and it is to help you hold more boost once you need it, but you wont if your stage 0 with no fuel mods.
Yep you can, Hell a friend of mine had a code come up on his car, overboost, and while we were driving it back to tune the WGA it shut off the light itself. So...there are ways for you to get around PTB tho. Have fun with your WGA. You thought it was fun before....now it will be a BLAST!!! Be safe dude!
I installed my WGA, and now I get a Check Engine Light. What do I do now?
If you have stage 0, you will need to remove the red TIP sensor line that goes from the upper intercooler hose to solonoid #1. Completely remove this line from the car and cap the nipple that is left on the upper intercooler hose. If you have stage 1 or 2, you do not need to do this.
NOTE FOR 2005 USERS. You may get a P2074 code with stage 0. The first step is to make certain your vehicle has had the reflash 18-042-04 performed at the dealer. If you have already removed the red line and you have had the reflash completed at the dealer, you may need to purchase stage 1 to rid yourself of all check engine lights for your 05.
How do I get rid of PTB (Part Throttle Boost)?
Don't let someone sell you a spring "upgrade" for the wastegate by claiming it's going to hold more boost at redline and eliminate PTB. It will not, or we would sell it.
I'm running stage 0 and got the overboost P0234 code...just removed the negative for a few minutes and reconnected It happened during part throttle boost for me
if you have an 03 or 04 u can use something to block off or just get rid of the red vac line on the cold side charge pipe. mine just threw the boost to throttle corilation code holding 16psi.
