I have and 05 srt-4 with 111,000 miles on the motor. I have a fairly new works stage 2 tranny and I have changed everything and replaced everything when i was suppose to for the engine.(oil, water pump, timing belt, ect.)
My question is could I get this kit and have no problems with the engine. It runs like a champ and I boost 18psi to redline as of right now. The kit has a APG DBB delta 42. Could i get this and just not max the turbo out or what. Can the engine handle it? Thanks for any feed back.

I've been told you shouldn't abuse an engine past a certain mileage point all my life, BUT, I think it has more to do with condition and maintenance of said engine. I put a 150shot on a 170,XXX miles Mustang GT and ran mid 12s on street tires because I took great care of it. My neigbor blew up a 2003 Cobra with only 40K on it because he didn't take good care of it.
Moral of the story: If everything is in fine working condition, and you have made neccessary supporting mods to the car, do and get a great tune. If you know the history of the engine, and have addressed any issues it may have, and have maintained it properly, I don't see a problem. 111K isn't high mileage these days.

do a compression test and go from there
if your compression is still good.. than go for it.. people say our motors are fully broken in at 100K

My old srt-4 motor took a beating its whole life and lasted until 118k i believe, ended up just being fried piston rings i believe haha. these motors are definetly strong if you take care of them

i would say go for it! like said above the health of the motor as it is right now will be the deciding factor as to weather it can handle the extra power that and if you have a good tune of coarse

the kit comes with a sct xcalibrator 2 and pcm flash from agp for the turbo. but i know its for the fuel to feed that delta 42. but is it good enough u think for everything or just the fuel. i dont know ive never messed with any type of tuner device. i had a friend tune the car the way it is now.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but unless you are set on going big turbo, I would go buy one of the f&f mopar stage 3 turbos in the for sale section and then add the parts you may need.

I like the mopars stage 3 turbo dont get me wrong, i just want to go bigger. on the other hand if i do get this kit and flash the pcm with the tune dont i need to go back to pcm controled boost and stock vac. line setup(besides bov, catch can, ect.)i just dont know if the agp-38 external wastegate fits into the equation

i bought my car with 19k its been big turbo since 25k it now has 90k and everything is great only thing i would do is get the chain off the balance shafts and maybe a new oil pump the reason i say oil pump is three of my friends blew there cars up because of failed oil pumps

why would the external gate not work for u i have never ran a d42 but i was one of the first guys to run the d44 on the east coast and it was a sick spoolin street turbo plus the customer service u get when dealing with agp is second to none....

i just changed the oil pump, water pump, timing belt, and timing belt tensioner. i have heard about taking the chain of the balance shafts, is it worth it what does it do why did dodge put it there. i just need some explaining on that one before i go and do that.
