The lower heat shield removal on your stock turbo is 85% of the big turbo installation. Once the stock turbo is out of there it is very straight forward.

The 3076r is a great turbo. The ball bearing 50trim is a great selection as well .

^^^^^^ What he said... If you're baller enough to get the whole stage 4 setup, go ahead with the dbb 50 trim. You won't regret it.

with a decent tune and full exhaust and fuel mods included in the kit 400 hp on pump is easily attainable. The 3076 is an awesome street turbo.

in the mean time, if you haven't already done so, remove the heat shielding from the stock turbo to save you time when you install the new kit. it is a pain in the ass to get off and would probably save you an hour or so. if you have the lower heat shiel already off, you should be able to completely take out the stock turbofold in about 15-20minutes at the most. also, get yourself a stubby 16mm wrench to get the oil and coolant lines off the stocker and the block.

i am thinking about getting this kit except swap out the turbo for a D55 when they get a decent amount of them ready to go, unless they add it as an option to the S3D kit but i would much rather have the s4 since it comes with the uhp w/bov and all three motor mounts. from what i have read and seen on here, the 55 has a decent spool compared to the 50t and makes more power.

I didn't get the fuel return kit. So the guy who put it on didn't want to turn up the boost till I got the that and a wide band. Got those parts in today so we will see how this whole thing works. I'm at 10 psi now stock fuel pump. It runs grate sounds good I was a little let down that my maxxfab isn't as sharp sounding as I wanted. I'm starting to think I should have gone with the 3076. Only cause more people have it.

About the heatshield: it's as if Dodge designed it with the intent to make removal of it damn near impossible! lol Yea, the heatshield, and I'd say the hardest part is the removal of the stock turbo parts (including peripherals)--brace yourself. It's a b*****. But, you'll feel so freakin' good once you've slapped on the new setup. And only got the Stage 3 w/ 40lb. wheel. I can't imagine how awesome your setup will feel! Enjoy!
