I'm not sure how much. Peoples results seem to vary. It will definitly hold 15 but some people have said 17-18 others say the best they got was 15. We are trying using both springs in the WGA at the same time. Another trick would be to put large washers or spacers at the top of the spring to pre-load it more.

Dude let us know about the stock spring and pt's sping in the WGA goes for you. I havnt got the spring in yet but I want to know your results. I think it also has to do with how much people spike to. I have notice with the spring mod if i spike to 18 I will hold 15ish. If I spike to 22 I will hold 18ish. I just want the spring because its a cleaner look.

I thought I was right about compression air and friction. It has been a long time since I took physics and I didnt want to give out wrong info to ppl. Well if you think about it anything you compress will cause friction but 150,000 rpm compression rate seems to be glowing hot

Ok. I may try both springs this weekend if I get motivated to tear it apart again. Although you can do this mod once without any worries pulling the WGA apart a few times could weaken the metal lip that seals things up. I may buy a stocker WGA here and another PTP spring then try it. I don't know I have so much going on right now. I will be down in San Antonio this weekend and all next week so thats out. I'm looking for some one down in TX that has moded SRT so I can actually see what others are doing first hand. Not alot of SRT-4's here in AK. A few but not many and they only have minor mods if any.

18 is tough to redline for some cars. Make sure when your boost leak testing that you are really presurizing it to 20 psi or so. Also do it while the car is hot. I had a problem once that would only leak while hot.

And yeah I spike 22.5 as well so I will be very interested in what you find.

Even holding 15-16 to redline is a great improvement from stock for $20. I hold higher but as I said earlier it may be due to the still very cold air here (10 degrees this morning) Warmest its been while running was just barley 40 degrees once.

So let me make sure this is right... you are using PTP's upgraded wga srping, intended for the AGP wga in the stock wga and holding 15+ psi to redline? If so, I'm using my spring in teh stocker and getting rid of the agp.

Ok I have some pic's of the install well a lot of me ppl have said that the 05 heat shield was a pain in the a$$ but I come off for me rather good. I also put WD-40 on the bolts the night before. Also I could of done this last night however my wife hid my package from me since she knows I would of done it last night.

you can see where I mark the position like stech said to do. I just use the notch on the top of the wga arm for the other mark

Now the hard part prying this bitch open but it wasnt too bad

This is what she will look like when opened and there is that 8mm bolt on top.

Since I volunteer to put PT's spring inside the stocker spring

You can see where both springs are flused with each other

Now lets put it back together you can see the different tools I used to open it and put it back together. I used a C clamp to hold it in place while I hammer the lips shut and using vice grips to make sure its seal all the way around.

Since mother nature loves Nebraska I can not test today. But thank you god for me getting stationed in Panama City FL in June.

So the beast can not come out and play

But here are some pic's of my side exit exhaust what do you guys think. I had muffler shop just put in a straight 3 inch pipe no cat or resonator. However the other day I finally I got the energy to cut down some of the pipe and put a resonator tip on it. It sounds so much better with it. BIG improvement

Ok I notice the snow stopping for a couple hours and figure the road would be dry. Yes thats right nebraska really knows how to get the job done. This is way better than the spring mod. I use to have it so tight that it would surge real bad but just to hold 18 psi to readline. With PT's spring I notice it goind to 22 and slowing drop to 18 to redline I mean SLOW drop. But however when I just did third gear pulls it would it the psi I set it on my mbc but drop to about 17 maybe 16.5. Everytime I did 2nd to 3rd gear it would drop to 18 and 4th it hit 22 and sat at 20 but I was running out of road the condition are still bad out. I got the same results from trying to hold the wga arm shut with the turnbuckle spring mod and this has NO SURGing that is a big must to have. Surging can result in timing being pulled since the knock sensor is picking detonation up. So this is a MUST mod you cant beat this. I am just WOWed. Setch hit the head on the nail about the surges. I mean there is none to little it sits right were you set it even with my bleed style mbc. Now I have all the vaccum lines disconnect from the stock solenoid. I have a restictor in route to the wastegate so I can have a big enough bleed to adjust to the boost of my chioce. That means I would have to much air hitting the flood door and not a big enough bleed to bleed away air from the wastegate to be able to hit 22 psi.

I am just Thank you guys
