So let me ask you guys... do you like the freeze frame photos better, or do you
like the pan-motion pictures better? Just curious. Would a mixture of both be better?

a little of both. A pan must be a very clear car though. You have to toss about 20 or so blurry ones to get a good clear subject. At least I do.

I like any pictures of cars, but they are much better when they are action shots. IMO the pan shots show the speed and action more than stills, but like greg said much harder to take. I guess with digital it doesn't make much difference but with film you would go broke.

Yeah, I sucked at the panning. Never even thought to try and take some stills.

I wish I could find Hak. His are really good. Need to get them to him.

Since I had my daughter shooting a lot of my car while I was on the track I had the shutter speed really high so she could get some clear shots. Just about anyone can shoot a still as long as they can keep the subject framed at least every other shot or so. Ha.

The panning ones are much better than the star-cards. I know Hak took one of mine that REALLY looked great and I'm still waiting to get it from him because I wanted to take it somewhere and get it printed.

Just for informational purposes, the Star-Cards images are shot on real film and developed in a real darkroom.
