Well like i said earlier i thought it was the "SRT nationals" look at the banner do you see shelby cars or old TD cars on it no you dont.
Whoa! How did that happen?!?
If you actually read the text instead of looking at the pictures, it has always said, "The full SRT Line-up, and the Turbo Dodges of SDAC are the featured vehicles of the SRT Nationals in 2006. Of course, all of the Mopar family are invited to join us."
I haven't heard anybody complaining about the Stratus that was doing pretty well out there. I think there were also some non-SRT Jeeps, Magnums, a couple of Neons, etc. We'll have to be sure to keep them out next year.

iu was speaking in terms of the banner on here not that website....look at dale's banner in his sig look at castrols banner in the sig. I knew there was no way i was getting off of work so i didnt really care to get into that much detail. You shoudl have just called it the 1980+ nats then Like i said from the parts i did read you would think something called the SRT nats would feature srt line up thats all i was saying dont get all personal.

Yeah where were all the "big boy" street SRTs at that talked about coming this year? Hopefully they will either get of their asses or get their car ready in time for next year because I'm ready to see a 10 second STREET SRT4 in person run down a track....
Lon's (Dasmopar) car is in the 10's and drives it on the street. He was going to go this year but a issue with the car came up.
He's also on the NOS to make it to the 10's. That strictly boost 10.74 is very impressive.
And I agree, I wish some of the big boys were there to. As it was, my car with a 11.61 pass, and consistant 11.7's was the fastest SRT there. If you would have told me that before the event, I would have never believed it!!!
he ran 11.00X with 27psi only so the n2o wasent needed. The n2o just made the issue worse.
And you make that public??? That's something I wouldn't have put on a public forum, that I added a shot of NOS and only ran .4 faster. But hey, it got him into the 10 second club, so good for him!!! I really hope the issues he has had/is having (he said the car was having problems, thus no trip to the Nats) get ironed out and he hits low 10's. Give those Shelby guys something to worry a little about, lol!!
Its always been public that he ran n2o. Im sure you meant this in away thats not showing through in your post [as I know you], but its kind coming off dick like.
Yes, I knew he needed the NOS to get into the 10's, I just didn't know he ran an 11.00X without it. He posted his best time of 10.96. .04 seconds for a shot of the juice just doesn't seem worth it to me. And then he goes on to say that he had all the power he needed, he just needed to get it to the ground. Wouldn't a logical next step be suspension instead of another power adder? Again, I don't know the car, the person, the situation, the anything. Hell, I shall just shut my pie hole, I don't want to offend anyone. Das has a 10 second car, I don't (yet). Enough said.
You are correct but there is a couple parts between the crank and the wheels. Generally the clutch.....Seems the one in it didnt like well over 600ftlbs of tq
What did he end up with??? I have a PTP Stage4 in mine, and I love it. Very good engagement (no race clutch type feel), and is holding the power very well so far.
Man you have alot of nerve seeing as you didn't even drive your own car. The N20 pass was at a diffrent track with bad track prep. The car was .100 slower in the 60ft and after the 1/8th mile .200 slower than the Boost only pass. it made it all back up plus some in the 2nd half of the track. After that we started having problems with the clutch not holding the power. Seems pretty stupid huh? trying to go faster. Jeesh what were we thinking?
oops its a lil bigger than i expected but thats the banner i was speaking of thats all
Okay, then actually I believe the car furthest to the right in that banner is a Shelby.

I know for a fact that if an SRT went to the shelby meet and won it all...there would be bitching. I would know, Ive been around with the turbo dodges long enough
And you said it yourself...you are the guests. Its the SRT nationals.
While it might be true, or it might not, that the TD group would not appreciate a Neon taking home their trophies, it's not important.
The SDAC were not guests at the SRT Nationals. They co-hosted it. SDAC people built and maintain the event website, SDAC people stopped some of the more stupendous blunders I tried to initiate, and SDAC people brought the quickest cars to the event.
SDAC may or may not support the 2007 event, I hope they do, and we will have other clubs co-hosting with us.
SRT Nationals is not an SRT Exclusive event, in name, intent, or deed. SRT is not limited to a nameplate on a car, it's a lot more than that.
Eventually, the SRT Nationals will be renamed to better reflect the diversity of it's participants in the Mopar Family. "SRT" will remain in the name, as will "Nationals", but if things work out, the name will be less confusing in a few weeks.
Hmm. Well than I take it, its just another mopar nationals.
I understand your running it, but I think thats gonna be an mistake. I see another SRT nationals springing up and taking alot of the wind. I would be attending the event, and making as much noise/supporting as I can ..for the event aimed at the SRT cars[of all badges] for sure. I am just one person[so who cares], but I think alot would agree on this. As Im seeing alot of people with the sdac issue. Like I said in private, take what I say with a grain of salt. But on this topic, I think youll find I speak the truth. I have been known to be wrong so time will tell.
As far as the guest goes, i was replying to the guy who said so.
+1
If you are selling it as the Srt nats you should have seprate classes for srt's and the TD guys. I don't think any of the fast guys would have minded running all the "fast" cars in one class, but there where alot more "normal" cars that came and wanted to have a chance at winning something too.
The TD guys did a nice job of showing up in full force and the srt guys didn't. I'm one of the ones who should have been there to carry the srt banner but I couldn't make it because I didn't have a clutch back yet. I wanted to come and had made plans to come with a hotel room booked and all.
So with that said I can say looking from the outside in I can see the need for seprate classes. Or drop the srt nats title.

And like i said many time im glad everybody had a good time. I also said i belive it is being offered to make differnt classes also. I belive Dale even made a differnt thread as to differnt ideas

It's all good dude, you don't have to get your panties in a bundle, I give your car props, it's in the 10's, and you got it done. I don't care HOW it got there, it's there. Good job. Now sell the NOS, get a better clutch, and run mid 10's damnit!!
And who is "we"???

And who is "we"???
I'm already figuring out what kinda person you are. You would be willing to lie about something like that? Nice.
As for my panties being in a bunch you are right. You talk on here like you have it all figured out and criticize what WE (That would be Tat2punk, Vector and I.) are trying, and doing but you have your car built for you and driven for you. 11.6 is moving and I'm sure the car has more in it yet but don't talk like you have ran a 10 sec pass because you have done nothing but opened your wallet.
The N20 is staying and feel free to PM me for some info when you figure out you want it also.
I talk on here like I have it all figured out?? That's funny, as I put in my post, about your car as a matter of fact, that I don't know you, your car, your situation, hell, that I don't know anything, and that I would just shut my hole. Then I go on to say good job. Numerous times. Then you come back with a personal attack on me, saying that you have me all figured out, even though I have and all over my post. Nice. And you're right, all I have done is open my wallet. So at least at the end of the day I can say that it's MY car that went whatever it does end up going, not some sponsered car that had all the free parts it could hold thrown on it.
And I specifically said my car isn't a 10 second car,and that yours is, and that you have props from me for that. Perhaps "hooked on phonics" would work for you????
And is your shop that far off of 94?? I am coming to the Woodward Dream cruise in my 05 Mustang (yes, I opened my wallet for some of the mods on that also, but I actually did most of them myself, if you can believe that!!!!) and would love to stop by and see your car and meet you in person. You will see I am really not a bad person. Ask any of the people on here that know me PERSONALLY, and they will say I am one of the nicest, most giving people they know.
This sure comes off as a insult to me. You can add all the or whatever else to it but it still reads like a insult to me. I aslo see again that you would hide the truth from people <----Thats like Lieing to some people.
Our Shop is on Alexis Rd not close to Woodward at all but you are welcome to stop by as I'm sure you are a nice guy in person and prolly wouldn't come off as such a h8ter.
Now lets get one more thing straight. Who is my sponser? No one has given me anything for free that I can remember. Dasmotorsports = Vector, Tat2punk, and I. and we all have our own cars with parts we have paid for.

Actually I should edit that, it's .04 per dansrt4. And I said I "could" say that I drove my car, but I never have, and I never would, lol. Hell, I posted a pic of Rick posing next to my car that he drove!!!!! As far as sponsers, if you don't use that car as a tax write off for your business, you need a better financial advisor. I don't have that luxury, my car is 100% paid for by me. And driven by someone else . See, there, I made fun of myself even. Can we kiss and make up now????
