Default Proposing "The Standing Mile"

Is it possible to find a location to do this? See what some of the EMS cars can do.

There is no place "legal" to do this at Nationals, unless someone has a connection at the airport next to HPT ( I think it is a military airport).

Someone tried it at the Heartland Park dragstrip a couple years ago during Onelap. Apparently they had never been on a dragstrip before and expected to see a checkered flag.

He lifted when he saw the gravel trap at the end of the shutdown area, is brand new Renntech AMG made it through the first catch fence, but not the second one.

Estimated exit speed was about 160mph.

The only places to do organized timed mile runs are through the "Salt Flat' type organizations, on the East Coast we run with ECTA on an old WWII runway....

Brand new, means "wrote the check to Harmut at the start of the event where the car was delivered". cost- lot's more money than Nationals will ever be worth.

Letting your younger brother, who has zero racing experience, drive it on the dragstrip for you because it's safer than driving on the highway to the event - Priceless
