We've revised the event schedule in an effort to make it easier for people to attend. Overwhelmingly, it was made clear that the total number of days away from home is important, so we have condensed the event to two days and evenings.
Thursday Meet-n-Greet hospitality event at the hotel, and pre-event tech inspection.
Friday Morning - HPDE Roadcourse and show event begins. Possible Autox on Friday as well.
Friday evening (5pm) - Bracket Drag Racing begins
Saturday Morning - Show and Autox begins.
Saturday Noon - Open drag passes (test and tune) and Quick-8 Qualifying begins
Saturday evening - Quick-8 Drag Racing
Sunday - Go Home
Please discuss...
Also, right now, nobody has volunteered to be responsible for the autox event. If it does not have someone to run it, we'll cancel the reservation for the cones and timers. Volunteer, or better yet, convince your club to volunteer...
See you in Topeka,
Dale

No awards banquet? What about those of use who have already paid? I'd volunteer for the autox event. There would have to be others though as I know nothing about autox.

We're stealing your awards banquet money and buying beer for the private organizers party...
Volunteer for the autox. If people don't like how you run it, they can volunteer to help you.
Your job would be almost purely organizational. Organize the tech inspectors, make sure somebody knows how to lay out an autox course, help the people running the timing trailer with participant check-in, class everyone in Street Modified, and make sure everything gets picked up at the end of the day. Oh yeah, grab the results page so people don't castrate you because they can't find the results on the internet.
PM Gargoile if you are serious about helping out, we can definately use your help.
How many of our country's problems could be solved and solved quickly if politicians were more worried about what is good for our country rather than how to protect their positions of power?

Damn that was fast. Thanks to those that have volunteered. Looking forward to attending this and every year.
It will be more difficult to autox is you want to do the HPDE and run Quick-8, but the autox is at risk of being dropped due to lack of people volunteering to help with it anyway...
