Default Help pick the dates for the 2007 event

Dropping a quick poll to get an idea of what dates are preferred for next years event. The poll does not determine the date, just gives a very small perspective on what the Neon owners would like to see. The winter months are included to ensure fairness and an opportunity for the wiesenhiemers voice an opinion...

The poll is Bill Pemberton's idea...

I think other major events should be noted that way we don't override a different event. For example, Mopar Nationals is usually around the second week of August.

A bit earlier in the summer is my two cents. I know the students are taking exams but late July is prime vacationing weeks and it can be tough to get it off when everyone else wants it too. I'd say late May or early June. That way it's late enough students should be done with exams, and summer hasn't really heated up yet. Maybe even a few skinflints might come since they haven't had as much time to spend their money on other trips.

Where is will be is more important than when it will be to me at least. But I'm going to vote for later in the year so maybe if will bee cooled off a bit.

Northern schools often aren't out until after late June.

Anytime except for July and August. It's just too dang hot! Besides, wouldn't you racers rather have better atmospheric conditions to run in?

I pick July. It works best with schools, it's not as hot as august, and even if some school's are out in june, it's usually buggy.

May is One Lap.... Don't plan on Dale scheduling anything for at least the first 2 weeks of May and anything too close to that time would have a hard time getting the proper amount of "personal attention" that is required to pull off and event like the Nationals. Late June or July is fine. It was a bit of a fluke that it was 110 degrees for the Road Course dates this year.

Living in the midwest, I can say it was a fluke. Yes, it is hot, but not usually THAT hot. And, some of us can't skip school

Dude you live in Iowa right? Well let me tell you for all the Kansas people (which I hope its at Heartland again) it is usually 100 degree weather in July That was no exception for the Topeka area. We have 100 weather still going on strong. 100-103 for the last couple days and oging to be there for a couple more to come. Saturday (only day I could make it becasue of work) was cool and hopefully everyone appreciated Dale selling his soul to get the temp down a couple degree's
I vote end of Aug, at Heartland and please please please Dale organize it again

Thats not ENTIRELY true...

We have had the hottest weather since 1981 or some shit according to the news lately. The hottest day so far this year was the Thursday at nats... and that was the hottest day since like 1987 or something.

Yes the weather at the end of july is hot... This year it was just exceptionally hot.

But I completely agree... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do it again next year Dale, and PLEASE have it held at Heartland Park.
