Default Best Burnout Contest I Ever Witnessed.

This is by far the best burnout I've ever witnessed. God I love your ProCharged Durango. Nice job!

The bummer is the insurance company stipulated a 30 second time limit. Heuschele was prepared to burn the wheels off the truck as well as the tires....

You have got to be kidding me. 30 second limit. Freaking insurance company pinheads. See the video thread for video of both burnouts

30 secs is no time for a burnout competition.

But I did apreciate them doing it for what it was worth. I wasn't able to see it start up as we couldn't hear them but as soon as I heard it i made a dash run for the grandstands. I got there just as the other car finished its burn. The durango was badass!

I think Heuschele has a fetish for burning rubber. Every event he attends, he brings along extra tires just to destroy in a massive burnout ("Not that there is anything wrong with that"...).

Haha yeah we put on my winter tires for that. I knew from before hand that they get quite smokey, and they have amazing treadwear LOL. And besides, you can't beat cheap. They were $38 per tire from TireRack.

Here's what's left:

Could have, and would have gone longer also.

Very Cool! I'm Glad the video was made of it. I was in the middle of the stage 3 install when the burnout contest was taking place, I believe. Erich is an amazing competitor and a heck of a nice guy. Thanx for the help Erich.

Your all missing the strange part....

Who is the guy at the insurance company that got stuck with the job of researching and testing the safe time limits for a burnout. You never see that outside the Progressive office.

30 seconds....still safe
31 seconds........people will sue.

Apparently, the 30 second rule is pretty common.... but, the Nopi Nationals has an 'unlimited' time burnout... I will be using that event as an example, and will plan to offer two classes, 'Timed' and 'Unlimited'.

Now that I've seen how the insurance company operates, I hope to be better prepared to do battle with them for the 2007 event. It also helps that we didn't have any claims against the insurance this year....

You actually divoted the concrete in the burnout box.. by about 3/8 of an inch.. which is what they were trying to prevent.. but it was a great show..
And I love your truck..
