I put a post up on Chicago's forum I can see joliet race park but it all depends on if people want a one day event or weekend event. I dont see alot of people coming just for 1 day. Weekend events can get expensive. Just depends on where people want to go. We could go to Joliet and have a full blown event but would be a pricey event but I bet we could make it happen.

What makes you think that? There has been an event for the last 4 years and hardly anyone showed up. It cost the organizers so much the ended up loosing their asses on it.
Don't get me wrong, I had an unbelievable time in Kansas and Memphis but we have to be realistic. There are just not enough automotive enthusiasts on this site to make it happen with out piggy backing on to another event.
You want a awesome weekend event where your SRT is welcome? Go to the Mopar Nationals in Ohio. I promise you'll have a good time.

Trust me, nobody cares....
honestly if this happened on the east coast it would have the biggest turn out ever......i mean pretty much 70% of the srt's are on the east coast.....all the past events have been 12+ hours from me.....and im pretty much dead even middle on the east.......
this could happen at virginia international raceway and there would be a huge turn out
I always see the east & west coast people pipe up about "if this" or "if that". How about you guys stop talking about how sweet you can make it & finally just do it. I mean this in the most sincere possible way. If you build it, I will come with a crew from colorado... to either coast... we don't care where just that it happens.

I doubt that would be any different ! it's not even that far to Nashville from Virgina!!,what the hell ? Is everyone afraid to go some place besides their own back yard !!!!!!, Bunch of big ass scared babies !,I say no matter where it is , less than one thousand show up !
Last event was moved closer to the East coast to try to please more people, and still ! hardly anyone showed up !!!
I went to the event in Topeka KS. within 3 months of the purchase of my car, Just happened across this forum by chance and still got my shit together and went !! Driving Directions from Nashville, TN to Virginia International Raceway, 1245 Pinetree Rd, Alton, VA

I have been to all the events and live down here on the coast in Mississippi. The event in memphis was closer so that was better and still had fun. I know the more people the better it helps pay for the event, but really I had more fun just hanging out with people at the hotel then out in the town afterwards. I will go to an event just about anywhere as long as I dont have to go through customs. I drove one way to and from topeka when I went....around 17 hours of straight driving all by myself because nobody would caravan up with me. At any rate I would like to see it up in chicago or somewhere near NJ so we could hit up the boardwalk and casinos or something.
I drove 2500 miles on way to Memphis last year and loved it. This is a drivers car so why not drive it?
I would be willing to be on a committee of 4-5 people that tries to get the event going again. I would even be willing to put 5000$ in the pot to get it going. When I get back to work after New Years, I will start looking at all the events that we could either piggy back off of, or to a track we could invade.
If anyone has suggestions, post them here or PM me them.

PS: I guess it takes a Canadian to get the US Nationals going
