It's just a matter of priorities, don't worry about it James. With only one Atlanta participant, it's not like it's showing to be a high priority for anyone.
No big deal. But anyone who still wants to participate in the autox, and get some decent BBQ, we'll be having a damn fine time...
From the original:
Roadcourse all day July 11th.
Atlanta SOLO event July 12th in the evening.
Drag Racing July 13th.
Do we have one to take Jimmy's place?
Actually. I beleive it was :
July 11 Drag racing at Commerce (Fri evening)
July 12 Road couse at Little Talledega (Sat until4 or 5)
July 12 Atlanta Solo/autocross (Saturday night under the lights)
July 13 recover and drive home(Sunday)
Damn, if its that close, I may be able to make that, though I can't say for sure. I have plenty of auto-x's, a trip to the Dragon, and a few track days under my belt, but those were all in the Prelude. Might be fun to get some springs and see what the ol' Neon has got up her sleeves...

Now that you've moved up to instructor level, here's your chance to sponsor an event. I have total faith you can handle it. If so, you can count on me, I'm dieing to drive the new configuration. Also, I'm sure Kolin and Matt Hubbard will attend (locals) so there's 4 right off the bat.
P.S... I'd much rather attend Lil'Dega than ATL Dragway Friday.........

Depends what you mean by "sponsor"....
If you can get some feedback from the other locals who would be willing to help, then it may be easier to get the commitment from those still on the fence.
The fun of the eevent will be to make it to all 3 (drag, road, auto-x) even if you don't want to compete in all 3. The line of cars going down the highway and pulling into an event is half (ok...10%) of the fun.
