Ok... sounds like the road course portion is being closed out from the 08 nats. Now, me personally... I wouldn't think it's worth it unless that event is available.
$1750 to make it available. 10 @ $175 or less w/ more.
Can we get at least 10 people to commit $175???
For you w/ sponsorships, etc... perhaps you can have them pay?
We need ten to commit verbally AND monetarily or this won't happen.
3 cars on the course at a time ,and you best know what you're doing is the general idea. (lol)
Anyone?
I know I would pledge to pay $175 now even if I wasn't 100% I could go.
Dale, I appreciate the vote of confidence...but I don't want to ruin anyones fun. I'm content to sit this one out, get some experience, and try to participate in the next one.
Actually Lil'Dega is a great 1st time course. With only 3 cars on track at a time there is no pressure to speed, just learning to drive. Speed comes later...and you'll have an experienced person in the car with you. I'll try to get ahold of Kolin Aspergren, no one knows that track better than him.
My 1st HPDE was a 2 day event at Road Atlanta with Panoz. No instructor what-so-ever, "get out there and drive, we'll watch you from the corners" they said. Needless to say the 1st few sessions was white knuckles and trying not to pass out.
Like I said before, if it comes down to needing one more, I would LOVE to be inclueded in the road course...but if they can fill it with more experienced drivers. Then I am content to sit out, and get some experience first. I'm supposed to be on a list for a driving experience that is run a Lil'Dega...I just don't know when the next one is supposed to happen.
I tried to talk him into it on the phone last night and it didn't work.
BTW - car is fixed - I'm pretty sure, but didn't want to test it at 2am this morning - THANKS
Get that line replaced with a stock one soon... next time it might fail at an inconvienent time.
Anyway, no, I won't be participating. Every dollar I can beg, borrow, or steal goes into the karting program. I'll come out and administrate though, which is probably more fun for me now anyway.
