Ok people you want to know what the numbers are, I'll let you know.
Please keep in mind that to host an event like this takes money, just how much money you ask? To just get through the gates at HPT the cost is $25,000.00. That doesn't include anything other than the rent for the track. No awards, goodies, nothing else.
Here is the break down on the numbers.
Total number of people who have registered to attend the event: 38
Registered for the Roadcourse : 16
Registered for Competition Pass: 29
Of those above the number to attend the Awards Banquette: 20
Now you know, and you can see why this event needs your help. If the Roadcourse was full or if there was 200 registered for the Competition Pass this wouldn?t be an issue.
Now you see things from our side.

How many of our country's problems could be solved and solved quickly if politicians were more worried about what is good for our country rather than how to protect their positions of power?
Well I just signed up for the road course, if that helps. What type of number do you want to see by april 1st, as high as possible?
First, thank you for signing up for the event and to all that have done so in the last week.
Yes, higher the better.
If you think like a sponsor and with the numbers like they are now, the return on their investment is very low. By even posting these numbers there is the risk that vendors might not want to event sign up with the information I have posted. But I want to let everyone know just how low these numbers are to get a true idea of whats going on here.
If people want to have the Nationals to live on, everyone that hasn't signed up, needs to step up and due so.
Come on people....We need everyone to get signed up for this event. Everyone who went last year had a great time (even the guy who lost his hood).
This is an awesome event and we need to show our support or we will lose this event this year and then it would be unlikely to return after a failed year.
Sign up, donate, whatever it takes. This HAS to happen to preserve it for future years! Ask anyone who has been there... it's something to look forward to each year. The second it's over, you can't wait until NEXT year!
Hypothetically speaking... (that means "just wondering, not for real")
What would happen if the event moved East, a lot, but to do that, lost the roadcourse portion of the event for 2007?
Bear in mind that just about every track in the country has a full schedule for 2007, so it's probably too late to even start looking...
For the event, I would imagine the numbers would grow, and would be more of a meet than an event. I would be ok with that, but there would be a void to fill w/ the road course. I would of course fine other events and tracks to use the road course, but it wouldn't be the same. If the numbers weren't there for Topeka, I would support going east or west. I would however be mildly disappointed at the idea that those in the east/west won't travel to the midwest, but us in the midwest would travel east/west.
I would support anything that would be in the best interest of the event. But then again, I drug tons of stuff to Louisiana too...
What are people thoughts about moving the event just to keep it alive ?
If we do drop the road course, (which I hate to due, but by the numbers isn't a big deamnd) and just kept the drags and autocross. Would you mind having the event moved to east just for this year to keep it on life support.
Uh.... I already priced out both LVMS as a package and also Spring mountain raceway here both have openings. I was just wondering and hypothetically set up an event..
Plus there are two groups down here that have spring mountain almost every other month that would share the track with anyone as long as they respect there rules which are both safe and fair.
I have talk to Dave who sets up "supras invade vegas" every year and have gotten some good info...
I would like to see a SRT's nats East and West and later down the road maybe a few years E and W then a National event.
I really think that with the east and west events we can bring in alot more people due to it being possibly closer than the middle U.S.
After they get a taste they can possibly make a descision to go to the nats sooner and we can have a good turnout(possibly)
hopefully the release of the new SRT4 we can join together with the willing and maybe form a better network with all SRT and mopar vehicles.
I know there are alot of I's as this is being my idea's on the subject.
I will be attending mopars at the strip here soon and if you need a little advertising let me know!

Feedback anyone ?
that was the deal here I would need 30 cars to reallycome close to having the full 3 mile course....however Ican circumnavigate this the same way the supra owners do when here....
Share the track with another organization that have the track rented already..
like I said before they are willing..

belive it or not when i rallied for a caraven to the nats this year with fellow SWerners I got respounces along the lines of:
Kans-ASS!?
If i wanted to take my vacation in BFE I would go visit my fam. in Mich..
Its hot in Kans ASS in the summer...REALLY hot..
ya thats where I want to go...
mind you these people want to do this event however do not want to go Kansas..

and people wonder why the midwest is so easy going.... we dont hold our heads high, thinking we are better then the rest of the united states..... If it does go east, the midwest people will just show you how the majority of the midwest wont bitch that we have to drive 19 hrs bla bla bla.... we will just DRIVE IT!
