How many of our country's problems could be solved – and solved quickly – if politicians were more worried about what is good for our country rather than how to protect their positions of power?

Reason: Name Change and venue change
Things keep going this way and what started as SRT Nationals then Modern Mopar/SRT Nationals, is gonna be Modern Automotive Nat's. Are we sure this is where we want to go as a community?

It sure is.... Look at all of the established communities, the BMW club, Ferrari club, Porsche club, Miata club... the list goes on and on. They all encourage enthusiasts with cars that aren't just like theirs to attend the events.
People cry about the cost of attending an exclusive meet all the time, and are voting with their wallets.
Unless you're volunteering to pay the rent Randy, I don't think you're in a position to use the "stab" emoticon... It hurts the feelings of the people who are working hard to make an enjoyable event for you.

Thanks for letting me know the real way opinions are viewed. And i do foot my part of the bill : by paying my entry fee's. I was warned last year at Nat's about this.
Do as you wish. No more opinions from me.

Randy, I would like this to be an all SRT event. If the road course was filled at this point with all SRT's then there wouldn't be an issue. There are open spots and we want these positions to be filled. As Dale said the event costs money and we want to make sure that these costs are covered. The only way is to open the track up to allow others that would also like to run with us.
It's nothing personal Randy, it just a business decision.

Randy, I think you're missing the point here... The idea is to make the event as inexpensive as possible. To do that, we're running a zero-profit event, assuming people sign up in time to pay the bills.
Last year, that didn't exactly happen and I lost my car. Now, we could triple the entry fees until the bills are paid, then make it free for everyone else, but that wouldn't exactly be fair, now would it?
The offer stands, if you can make an unsecured loan for about $25K to the event, we'd be happy to only allow black SRT-4's.
We're doing what we can to avoid having to cancel parts of the event. We already can't afford to bring a dyno to the event, which is only about $5K, but we want the cost cutting to stop there. Hopefully you can agree with that.
So I could even bring my new baby? It won't win any dyno contests thats for sure.
Actually I'm kind of interested in the HPDE. I want someone to show me what to expect out of the car, and $190 is actually pretty good for an HPDE.
David, we priced this in line with other places that have HPDE. And what you get is well woth the price. You could learn just by driving the track for many years. Having an instructor that gives you instant feedback on what you did good and bad will help you build your driving skills in a short amount of time.
Granted nothing can replace seat time, but the more your do it the more you will learn and have fun at the same time.
I started for the exact same reasons, I want to know what the limits of my car was/is. The only safe way to find out was to attend events like this. I thougt I knew what my car would do while I was driving, but I let my instructor show me what she could do. It proved I was in the 1st grade when he showed me what it could do.
Having the look of horror and fear with tears of joy and happiness on one's face at the same time can indeed be done while driving the SRT.

I second that, well said...... I pay a lot more to do a day of track time w/ an instructor around here, it is well worth the money.
