Default AC Delete made easy! (S&P AC Delete KIT)

4-11-07 *updated for pricing*

Very simple... we got the belt and the idler pulley/bolt assembley put together so you can delete the AC for you guys who really like to go all out!

The compressor must be removed, and the pulley/bolt assy. installed in it's place. The AC delete belt will go right on so that you can still run the power steering!

This is not available on the website yet, so we are going to start it out on the forum for $61.75 (1-31-09) shipped in the U.S. Anything out of the US or in Canada can email or pm me for pricing.

Paypal: speedandpowerdevelopment@gmail.com

Thanks!

Bringin the next step in your hunt for Light Weight! For those looking to drop as much weight and static power loss from spinning the compressor. As much as 25 lbs of underhood wieght can be removed.

Thanks to Omniphil for the great weight savings list site.

Isn't PS a bigger drag on the motor then the AC when its off? Also why not get rid of PS as well. I say if you are going all out then they both need to go, and its not hard to turn, just have to get use to it at slow speeds. I took the PS off my 1st gen and ran around with Drag radials, and you learn how to work with out PS.

Yes it is and i am sure for a drag car dedicated to a trailer and a drag strip it would be a good option, but for road racing you would want to upgrade to a non-power steering rack so keep good steering feel and that is if you have enough arm strength to wrestle your car threw the turns. For a car that still needs to drive on the street or has a weaker armed person that isn't really a good option. Just depends on what the owner driver can live without. Cold air or easy turning.

If you didn't want p/s or A/c you wouldn't need a belt at all...

Thanks for the order! Maybe you can give us some feed back once you have it on the car and let us know what you think of it.:

I hear ya...good points. Maybe when my car gets to that level of competition i will give you guys a shout and see what we can do. Any ideas on who to go for a manual steering rack. Because it does suck using a power rack with no power...

Not sure right off the hand, but i would assume it would be a racing only part from a shop. If you ever get to that point hit me up and i will do some research and see if i can find a supplyer for a rack to work with the srt4.

I would actually appreciate this as well seeing as how I have removed both the P/S and A/C.

I will start my research and see what i can find. I know there are manual racks avalible for the first gen neons, so i hope some of those same companies have made ones for our car.
