Default Horrible SRT Dealer in IL

Hi, I posted this on the Dodge Forum page also but thought I'd share it here also.....

I was looking for a Mag SRT online and found one at "Naperville Dodge" here in Illinois. I went there and searched for it. I approched a salesman and he bowed his head after I asked them if they still had it. He paused and then said yea we have 1. I asked if I could see it he said yes then told me immediatly "You know this is a 2007 model not a 2006" I replied "HUH!" I knew at this point something was way off with this guy. SO I went to move my car and came back around and he yells out "It's gone bud, the owner took it home." He then proceeded to just talk to a porter and the kid says what did he take home and "Beck" the sales manager or lack there of said that SRT 8 and the kid says "That's a 2006 not a 2007" Now we all know that had to piss off "Beck" He doesn't even know what he is selling. So I asked him if he would call me when he got it back. SO he reluctantly took a reciept out of his pocket from a pay at the pump gas station. I gave my # anyway. Yesterday I returned to the dealer with a friend. We went in and I said to a salesman "Hey did you get that SRT-8 back yet" His responce as he gave me a dirty look and continued to walk was "Go talk to one of them" Again I though to myself "HUH!" This place has to be F'd up. SO I walked up to the desk where 5 or 6 salesman were standing and I walked up to "Beck" ( I don't even know if this is his name, it's listed as "Beck Beck" on the dealer website...so who knows) He looks at me like he has never seen me in my life. I said "Hi, did you get that SRT 8 back yet?" He again does this prayer thing where he bows his head and blanks out for like 10 seconds then asks some guy at the computer next to him if they got it back yet. The guy at the computer does the same thing then "Beck" looks at me and says "Are you even a serious buyer?" I said..."I gave you my number last week...you never called...why do you think I am back here? Is this car even for sale?" He says "Well it's the owners car and he is a multi-Gazzilionair so I don't even know if he is going to want to sell it" I said you know what, forget it" As I am walking out to entice me to come back to the sales desk he yells to me "Are you willing to pay 10G's over sticker?" What a looser. I am not suprised they have an over abundance of everything on the lot. No one wants to buy from them. Well, just wanted to share my story with ya'll. If any Chicagoans or anyone out west this way has had an expericane at this place or any other dealer please post it. Hey Beck great sales approch! "Are you willing to pay 10G's over sticker" WoW what an Idiot!

Default Wow, just Wow!

It sounds like "Beck" and his cronies need to be kicked square in the pills . I have been to a dealeship here in Ga that was about the same way. It is amazing that these salesmen can keep their jobs, but more amazing is the ability of the dealers to stay in business. I found that driving a ways to a reputable dealer (I drove 1hr to get my SRT-4) is definitly worth the headache. The only problem is driving to get there and then finding out that the guy you talked to on the phone is not there and the rest of the sales staff are a$$ monkeys . Good luck in your quest for the Magnum-8.

We have sold 4 Magnum SRT8s already ( so ,yes to one gentleman's question, they are out ) and they have all left at sticker. We haven't jacked any up like this friendly Dealer of note, nor would we have jerked you around ,especially when you wanted to look at one of the hottest machines in the DC stable. Sorry for your treatment, but it is like any business out there, some are quite professional, and others lack the ability to see in front of their noses. Give me a call and we may be able to help you in the future, or at least we can answer some questions/concerns you may have. I am amazed at your patience, as I would have walked alot sooner, but obviously you decided to keep yourself well above their level.

The Magnum is a superb machine, and I delivered one to Wichita ( met the customer half way ) and it is one road holding mother. Said customer just returned from a family trip to California and he averaged 21.5 miles per gallon for the entire trip. Not bad, so looks like that gas guzzler tax is questionable on the other two siblings?

Sincerely,

I work at a dealer in NY. We do charge a premium for any SRT vehicles but we are upfront about it. We don't jerk anybody around like alot of these idiots I hear about. I really cant believe how many morons out there have no clue about the horsepower or torque their cars deliver. Whats up with this????

my dealer: "Why did you put new tires on your car? The ones it comes with are real good."

me: "I have an 03 and the tires are different and they are the ones that came with the car."

thats nothing, i was at a chrysler/dodge dealer and was getting warranty work done. the service manager told me the warranty was voided cause i put a turbo on my neon. i told him it was factory, like the turbo PT crusiers. he told me the pt doesnt come turbod. best part, we were standing right next to an entire row of GT crusiers! i poped one of the hoods and he was like "oh..."

if i didnt know what we sold at my work, i would be on the curb. how can these douche's get away with it?

SRT Magnum,

What is unfortunate, is that the previous owners of that Dodge dealership were AWESOME when it came to performance Mopars. They used to sponsor a car show right across the street from their dealership in the field surrounding the Nabisco factory. We used to make the trip from Joliet just to see the display of new Daytona Irocs (remember those?) and Vipers...

We actually bought a Daytona VNT from them and traded in my '67 Coronet at the same time. Got a real good trade-in, because they understood the worth...

Ahhh, the good old days of Koller Dodge...

PS. Watch out for Joliet Dodge, also...

Next time you get one, can you send it my way?
Did anyone in here buy one yet? I like to know what they think of it.
