My uncle is a sheriff here in SC and is ordering Chargers for patrol cars. He may have been mistaken, but he tells me today the basic Police Charger has a turbocharged HEMI as well as many other upgrades like suspension, etc. and it will top out at 180 MPH. I was already freaked when I heared this but then he tells me there is another Police Charger version which he called a "500 HPT" (???) that we concluded meant 500 Horsepower, also known as the Viper V-10!!!!
This is what a salesman told him so who knows whats true. My uncle wasn't lying but he may have been misinformed; he's not a MOPAR man so he didn't just make these numbers up.
He said he ordered alot of the basics and a few of the Viper-powereds. Anyone have an idea about this?

I am not to sure about a turbocharged or 500HP charger. However, I can confirm seeing FHP in a black unmarked hemi charger on I95. The police uses camaros,mustangs, and vetts down here. Its possible that the hemi charger might be the next demon in their arsenal.
