A disc clutch is a much better choice for a daily driven vehicle .

sure it wasnt installed wrong or could of just been a bad disc. ive have my clutch for over 5k and at least 50 track passes on slicks. no bad news...

Im sure it could have been a bad disc, ACT said it was the tq spike from the s3k though. Which makes no sense to me, big turbos run much bigger tq numbers and seem to be fine, As far as installation being the culprit I doubt it, Ive Installed over 10 clutches all issue free

Can i upgrade the clutch itself to the 6puck if I get the hdss in the future? Once the Ss goes out or do i have to buy a new set up?

Yea man I Think MAP Sells the discs themselves for around $180. Once you replace the stock modular unit you can swap different Pressure Plates, Clutches or flywheels

A puck clutch does not like to be slipped in when engaging clutch . They preferred to be all in or not . When driving in low traction conditions you simply can't dump the clutch without spinning . For this reason I would recommend the disc . You can treat it like the stocker , you can behave like a normal commuter car in the rain and snow . If you pay attention to your clutch foot you will notice that you tend to ease in the clutch quite a bit in bad weather . Try crossing an intersection from a full stop , in the rain . Chances are you are either slipping the clutch or spinning the tires .

Just called modern they said they have XTSS what do you think about that one never hear about that one rated to 540 torque. Where hdss is only 460
He said it was thicker disk
