Default transmission fluid leak... what do i do?

I changed my tranny fluid yesterday. I used about 2.7 qts of Amsoil MTF to do the change, and everything went fine. I took the car out for a ride, yadda yadda... no leaks, no problems.

Today I came out and there was about a cup of brand new fluid on the ground under the car... great. So i get under there, and it looked like the fluid came from around the drain plug, so i took the drain plug out (noticing i had mildly cross-threaded it as well), sealed it with red gasket sealer, made sure it was seated properly, and put it back in. Ok, done. Took it for a ride... fluid leaking still. I clean all the oil off this time and just laid under the car to see if i could watch it drip.

Well, it turns out the fluid is not coming from the drain plug. It looks like it's coming from the seal around the driver side axle. It is a steady drip too... i can wipe it clean and with in thirty seconds it's leaking again. I can't even imagine how much it was leaking while i was driving it.

So, alright... my car is under warranty to fix this... or is it? My questions are:

1. Could the different fluid have caused the seal to leak or was this one of those coincidental problems?

2. Would the cross-threaded drain plug (now fixed and not leaking) have caused any of this problem?

3. Will the dealership notice the new fluid, see that it is not the reccomended ATF and void my transmission warranty? (they'll see the aftermarket parts i have and immediately want to find a way to void it i assume, even though none of the parts are transmission related (sts is not installed).

4. If #3 could be an issue, what should I do? Should I play dumb and say I have no idea, or should i tell them I changed the fluid? Should I leave the MTF in there or go out and piss away $30 on ATF+4? Common sense tells me I'll be fine (can they void a warranty for a fluid change?!?!), but i'd like some reassurance before I bring it to the dealership on Tuesday.

If you taking it in for warranty definitly change the fluid to stock ATF+4. As we all know daimler chrysler will void warranty for any little thing.

I'm actually taking my car in for tranny fluid leaking out of where the axel goins into the tranny. I have royal purple synchromaz in it. Should I put stock fluid back in?

I was thinking that, I put 3 quarts of royal purple in. even though people say its full at 2.5. I did it with the car on a jack so it wasnt level when I kept feeling inside the fill hole.
