torn axle boot?

I melted a hole in my passenger side axle boot before the downpipe was done on the big turbo...is there anyway I can replace the boot? I dont want this to cause my axle to go bad because of loss of grease or whatever. Any ideas on how to fix this?

You can order a new boost from Dodge, then pull the axel out and take the old boost off, and put the new one on. But your supposed to have a special tool to put the clamp on the new boot. I would just say get the part and take your axel to a shop and have them do it.

Remember when you pull the axel out your tranny fluid will come out to though.

Full Builds, Fab Work, Dyno Tuning and parts all available. Message me for any details!

edit: Im a dope, its not my axle! I melted a hole in my steering rack boot, any info on if I can just get a new boot for that or maybe theres a cheap way to fix it? since its not a rotating part like the axle like I thought, maybe I can wrap it in something that will keep the trash out of it? any ideas?

Call Cannon's Racks and Axles - 256-650-0150
Ask for Stan, he's a great guy to deal with on axle boots, cv axles, and racks. If he doesn't have it on his shelf, he knows someone who does... had great luck with this guy for the past ten years.
PM me if you have any trouble.
