my clutch was doing that annoying squeak crap and i did the fix but it still does it, i noticed that my bracket was a little bent but didnt think anything of it, this maybe? or what else could it be, i originally thought it was my throw out bearing before i saw this thread but im just not sure

After I did the fix I still noticed some squeeking. I noticed that I could feel it in the shifter when shifting, so I took the center console out and put some grease on the cables and the ball at the shifter base and now it is smooth and squeek free.

My car does this, but I also have the plastic fuzz plug there. I'll have to try this, if not, it's TOB and clutch fork time.

Mine started squeaking so I just took a look to investigate and noticed that my bracket is gone. Perhaps when the shop replaced my master cylinder they misplaced that? Anyways, does anybody have any ideas of what i could use as a replacement or where i can get a replacement? thanks alot!

Hmm Hopefully this fixes my issue. I'm going to try to do it when I get home.. Low screeching growl in 1st gear mainly when weight is loaded on the drivers side.. I'll post up if it fixes it.

Not sure how it fixed the squeek but whatever! The plastic retainer is in behind the battery tray bolt. I used the battery tray bolt. (04 srt-4)
Good thread.

Edit: Nevermind, not fixed. It was fine during the drive home, but its still squeeking when im cruising in 3rd and 4th.
Any insight anyone?
