Looking for 420whp.
I PMed Realtune Aaronn, he said a Southbend S3RS is what Ill be wanting. But its 1,000 shipped. Little out of my price range. Since I also need to rebuild the tranny while doing the clutch.
I was thinking ACT 6puck, but I have my redline raised, and heard alot of stories of not being able to shift in the higher then stock redline.
I would say there both good clutches and the only clutches out that will do the job, the 6 puck act is a good clutch I have in my car. Only diff. Is price the act clutch is cheaper by 400 buck
if you wan't to stick with the ACT and be able to shift easier at a higher rev, get the extreme pressure plate, that is the problem with shifting at a higher RPM... you can use a street disc and it is rated at 558 ft/lbs torque, if you go with the 6 puck it is rated at 714 ft/lbs torque.
Just dont want to deal with ACT and not being able to WOT.
why not being able to wot. i got a street disk that has 300mi on it 50 shipped

I've got $360 in an act unsprung 6 puck. Bought the flywheel and pressure plate used from a friend and bought a new 6 puck unspring disc. The pressure plate isn't even the new design, nor is the flywheel. Mine wot shifts like butter at 6800 rpms with 500+whp. I haven't tried shifting higher yet but I bet it will. I installed a new tob, tob fork, and pivot ball while doing the clutch, and I'd highly recommend you do the same.
The new southbend stuff seems legit, but don't think you have to spend $1000+ to be able to shift the car.

Jon, you just replace it with stock stuff? Or upgraded?
I have the 3rd gear tranny problems also, so going to be replace those with just stock stuff also.
So a ACT 6puck (sprung or unsprung) would be fine. Im 50t around 420-450whp.
The throw out bearing is oem as well as the throw out bearing fork and pivot ball, the internals are cryotreated, the input shaft is dcr, the shift selector is agp, and the 3/4 shift fork is a billet one made by an individual. BTW, after all of that, including the new 3/4 fork, mine still pops out of 3rd gear under downshifting, and after the install of the new 3/4 fork, it sometimes pops out of 3rd while decelerating in 3rd gear. Our trannies pretty much just suck all together, but I'm still extremely stoked that I can finally shift the car again.
I have a bb 50 trim pushing 25psi and the ACT 6 puck and I love it and I WOT shift southbend is the biggest pos clutch out there I've had nothing but issues with southbend
