Im with Aaron on this one,I feel that the South Bend Stage 5X is the ultimate clutch for the big wheel stage 3 guys. When the power comes on with these turbos,it hits like a FREIGHT TRAIN.I am still on a stock clutch, but will be ordering this exact one next week as it seems this clutch is the only one right for my setup.
Nemo swears on his ACT 6 puck, but I seem to hear bad things about ACT clutches on here and on the streets all the time.
On Southbends side,I cant find ANYTHING or ANYBODY that has a problem with the South Bend Stage 5.Plus its a new clutch,so im always up for a change!
+1 for the SBC Stage 5X!!

i have the modular stage 5 on my big wheel stage 3 setup, and you can feather the clutch like stock, i dunno how many times i gotta say it, but theres hardly any difference from stock at all, other then the huge amount of power it can take. stop thinking about what clutch to get, and order the damn clutch from aaron@realtune. everyone should be running one of these clutches!
I currently have the ACT 6-puck in and it didn't last a full season. (Check sig) I have the SBC Stage 5X awaiting install as soon as I receive my Stage 3 transmission from PWerks. I'm hoping this clutch does the job.

Just remember there is less material on a 6-puck, for obvious reasons. That being said, they wont last as long as a full face. If you dont track the car with slicks, or very seldom, I would get a Stage 3 or 4.
Hi does the south bend clutch stage 3 come with flywheel since it says its a modular cluth also it says if you want cryo on the clutch 40 bucks more worth it, or what anybody have it like this cryo suggestions?

This is interesting info... anyone else care to chime in on this. What kind of life loss are we talking here?

Modular means the flexplate, disc and pressure plate are all one piece. You would bolt this unit to the flexplate.
Non-modular means you take the flex plate out and an aftermarket flywheel would take its place. you then align the disc and bolt the pressure plate to the aftermarket flywheel.
So to answer your question, any modular clutch comes complete...and there is no flywheel to purchase.
If you see a "lightweight" flywheel option, this is for a non-modular set up.
