Default Snapping/Clunking noise

ok so here's the deal when i turn the wheel all the way to the left or all the way to right and try to accelerate the wheels almost get hungup then make a snapping jolt forward(clunk snapping noise). noise is coming from the drivers side.. so i replaced the drivers side axel.. same thing. no change.

now heres the thing.. when the cars jacked up in the air and i turn the wheel all the way to the left then all the way to the right.. no problems.. seems fine. basically when its on the ground with weight on it.. it does this weird getting hungup and snapping noise what could this be.

intermediate shaft ?
LSD?

what should i check before i start spending money out the ass
anyone who has any experience with this type of thing, any info is greatly appreciated

thank you so much
kenny

i know this is from a long time ago.. but now i have some tax return money aka motivation to start fixing this thing... is it possible with the all the information listed at the top.. for it to be the passenger side axel and or intermidate shaft causing a problem like this.. cause over the weekend we were rdy to rip the tranny out pulled the drivers side axel seemed good (its new- it was the first thing i replaced).. went to the passenger side the axel pops out of its boot and seems to bind up and not wanna go back in (im thinking when the wheels turned to either side its simulating the axel stretching and not going in hense the bind up then when i hit the gas a bit it binds and snaps/clunks forward) so i just ordered a pass side axel +i ntershaft for a total of 220$ figuring its a gamble.. if it dont work its my LSD???????

i need any input please.. its starting to get warmer out and i dont want to drive my 1994 nissan altima wiht 170,000 miles on it in the summer

thank you for your time guys

The passenger side axle is a good probability. Seeing as its binding in hand. If you do replace those two the only thing left is the LSD. If you had a bad ball joint or wheel hub bearing you would have noticed that when taking the car apart to remove the axle. As the hub would be flopping around.

If it happenes to be the lsd then a tooth probably broke off in the gears. And its causing the gears to bind.

i'm having what i think is the same exact problem. except its when i'm moving strait too. Forward or reverse. There is resistance too, if i'm on a slight hill i can leave the car in neautral and i wont roll. It is a weird snapping, its hard to explain. When i put the car on jackstands and rotate the wheel nothing snaps or anything. Everything looks perfect, i can't seem to find the problem. I am going to remove the brakes and the rotor and reinstall but this really sucks. Anyone have this problem before?
