after a long night at the track - my shifter is starting to feel funny. It engages and goes into gear fine ,but there is a 'loose' feel to it- like if i were to shift hard it would snap something. The clutch peddle also feels light but engages fine as well.No WOT shifting,no dropping the clutch,i didn't even take off the line too hard.i actually kinda pampered it through 1st-2nd (recently got the tranny fixed in may;3rd gear synchros, shifter cables, fork selecter (?) ) maybe the tranny fluid is fried? or maybe it was just running really hot?
would it be olay to drive the car until it gets repairs? someone said it may be the shift linkage that got loose, does this sound like it and where is it located so i can check?or maybe it's the shift selector?
does these symptoms indicate a broken shift selector? i read through the other posts in the how to section, but it dosen't list them in the symptoms selection.
how much is installation on this thing?
i am gonna get the AGP regardless and then have it installed since the tranny will be open up anyways.it could be the shift linkage (???)
it goes in gear and works like normal, but the shifter itself is wacko,it really does move around like it's floating on air- like it's connected by a string or something...
Mine just started doing the exact same thing as yours the past couple of weeks I have noticed it does after beating on it. then after driving it normal for a couple of days it will start to feel normal again? I think it's the clutch not the tranny

hhmmmm...thats very very odd.i just got back from a joy ride in the car, shifted fine accept for some slight friction getting in to gear and the same feeling while toggling back and forth-but nothing dramatic.
i first noticed the symptoms right when i left the track and on the 1 1/2 hour trip home...but today it's fine.Regardless i am getting the AGP part anyways, better safe then sorry eh?
anything else i should look into getting while that tranny lid thing is out?
thats really weird how it just started acting up like that, i guess i have to shift ligther now,and make sure i fully depress the clutch all the way...
