Default Question on maddog 72% w/booger bushings!!

I have read several threads on "its a little rough, will take some time getting use to." Is that right? Also, do I need booger bushings, or are the bushings that come with the kit just fine?

Thanks for all the help!!

do not get booger bushings... use stock ones. i have the 80% redux and i got rid of the booger and put stock back in... after about a week, i got used to it and it was ttoooootally worth it... if i could do it all over again, i would go with the 72...

I have the 80% installed with bushings.. and I can vouch for the above posters, it is way too tough! Also, it's not close to the seat at all. I'm a big dude and never had any issues with shifter coming to close to the seat.

im on my 2nd srt and my 2nd 72% with booger bushings! simply awesome! 2nd gear is no where near the seat...and im short. its a little tough but its a short shift its suppose to be. and plus it takes about 4 shifts and u are used to it! def get the 72 w bushings!

i have the 72% with the bushings, what people mean by rough is that the cable has to move the same distance and the throw gets shorter and when doing so your going to loose the amount of leverage u have with the shifter moving the cable so Basically what im trying to say is you are going to have to push a little harder when shifting because u lost the leverage u had with the stock shifter. I lol at what i just wrote cause its confusing as fcuk... o well

I have the 80 with stock bushings and it feels fine to me...if you have never had a short shifter then it might take a bit of getting used to but you do get it down...

hmm so I take it some people like stock and the other like boogers

Well, what is easier to use. Less rough is what I am trying to say. Its going to be a first for me to be driving with a short shifter.

Shifting a 72 with bushings is "click, click, click..." Actually feels like it goes into gear. I love it.

Lmk via PM - I can get it done and shipped by the middle of next week (on vacation until 7/28).
