Default Powertrain Warranty

I am possibly purchasing an 05 srt4 with 38k on it. Shifting into 3rd is a little weird at high rpm's.. If for some reason a snychro or annnything in the transmisison/clutch went would it be covered under warranty?

Powertrain (mo.) 84
Powertrain (mi.) 70,000

Does it include drivetrain? Can someone explain the warranty the car comes with to me in detail?

Thank you very much!
Ryan

the clutch is not covered and if the car is or has been modified in any way they most likely will deny warranty so check out the car b4 buying it if it is bone stock and never been modded they have to fix it if its under warranty

The car is absolutely a bone stock ACR only thing not stock is windshield wipers are body color bought from dealer..

It says powertrain warranty is the transmission included in that? I figured the clutch wouldn't be included in warranty but wanted someone more knowledgeable to tell me if like say a TOB or Fork or synchro was no good and my car is bone stock and under 70k miles does the powertrain warranty cover this?

Thanks,
Ryan

My acr didn't have powertrain. Have you verified that it DOES have powertrain warranty? I can run the vin and tell you for sure if you aren't sure.

transmission is covered under powertrain warranty the tob isnt also tob fork isnt syncros shift fork gears and all the other crap in the bellhousing is covered

for example i took my car bone stock to orlando dodge because my tranny grinded in third and also always popped out when i took it in they told me the clutch was the reason well my pop dukes is a diesel mechanic and he was with me so he asked how come it only grinds and pops out in third gear so the service advisor said if we take apart this tranny and it is the clutch you will have to pay i cant remember how much but it was a lot well once they opened it up they realized they were wrong and replace 3/4 shift for 3 gear 3 sync and all under warranty this was at 30,000miles now i have 55,000 and the prob is back my warranty is up at 60,000 but my car is modded out so no warranty

lol but yea long story short they will somehow try to make a waaranty issue seem to be the cause of you beating on the car so dont let them push you around hopefully you go to a dealership without the assholes ive delt with

Is there a website I can enter the VIN to check if it's got the powertrain warranty?

05's don't have the 7/70,000 powertrain warranty. Only 03/04. 05's have 3/36,000, unless an additional warranty was purchased I guess.

I think your sol on your warrenty. I was told when I bought mine that had I gotten an 05 it wouldn't have the 7 yr 70000 mile drivetrain warrenty.

POWERTRAIN 36 Months or 36,000 Miles 0 May 27, 2008 Expired (Time)

Yours does not have any powertrain beyond the 3/36. So unless you can convince them to goodwill it, you could be SOL.

So what would it cost to fix transmission for the problem where it sometimes feels like a wall when shifting into 3rd at high rpm's? Is that just the synchro? What do you think the car is worth? 05 ACR with 38k on it body is in goood shape decent tread on tires i'd say 60percent. Bone stock. no problems at all besides shifting into 3rd at high rpm's. He's asking 12k. Sales tax in my state to register it would be like $850 too which sucks. Just want some opinions on what it's worth. What someone on here has sold theirs for or what you guys think I should offer the guy with transmission like this. He doesn't think theres anything wrong with it but.. I tried a few times and it only goes into 3rd nicely like 30percent of the time.
