I'll explain a bit more about when I started having the problem:
Well, I used to WOT from 2nd to 3rd (and also 4th to 5th - same motion) very fast... with almost NO DENYS... I would go all the time. about 6 months ago @ around 25'000, I started noticing that my 2nd to 3rd WOT success rate came to about 70% of the time, it got to about 50% of the time when I was going from 2nd to 4rd when my FIRST Shift Selector broke, the car stayed in Natural, to the dealer, fixed (replaced) and good to go. about 1 month after the new assembly was in (I had started not to WOT too much but my success rate when I DID WOT had come down to even worse... 30-40% rate)... and it happened again... dealer fixed and here is when it gets exciting. Right when I got the car back from the dealer I noticed FOR THE FIRST TIME, the car started popping out of 3rd gear... wow, that's new. I knew the dealer (supposedly) tore the tranny apart for other pieces of broke selector and found nothinng but yeah, it start popping out of 4rd in UPSHIFTS and on downshift I could get it to downshift AND STAY in gear only 10% of the time. Called the dealer the same night, took it down there 2 weeks later, they have ordered new 3rd synchro, selectors, forks, ... that just came in TODAY (yeah, 1+ month wait time). I'll be taking the car there after new years and will post here of what happens when they change them.

Well, I had the problem of grinding from 2nd to 3rd and for a while I figured just live with it. Well the tranny gave out christmas night, could move the shifter but grab no gear regardless of clutch usage. So I took it to the dealer and they called me today. They are saying I need to buy a new clutch kit for 1,300.00! The car has less than 14k miles. I called a tranny shop and told them my symptoms and they said that it is not the clutch and it is a drive train problem wich should be covered under warranty. I have decided to have another dealer check it out. I think the dealer is trying to sell me a clutch kit I dont need. Anyone else have a similar problem?

If you can't get any gears, it's probably either your shift selector or your input shaft broke.
the dealer didn't fix our acr tranny problem because they say its the shifter selector. so we are going to take it back to them.
The dealer told me I needed a new clutch. I asked if anything needs to be repaired in the tranny and he said he would charge me if they had to open it up and look at it. I just bought this car and I went for the extended warranty this just doesnt seem right to me..
There all happened to me and they said the exact same thing that they told you to me:
It SEEMS that it's your clutch --- $1500
If we open your tranny you have to pay for it --- $800
while it happened to be the Shift Selector.
Ok so I took it to another dealer yesterday and they told me the same thing. That I need a new clutch. They said it will be around seven hundred. So I said to go ahead and do what they gotta do. He said any drivetrain problems will be covered under warranty. I guess I have to just wait and see what happens. Basically I dont know what else to do. I told them I want to see the old clutch assembly after they take it out.

3rd gear is hard to get into sometimes for me, but usually 2nd gear is a little harder to get into and downshifting to first when rolling up to s toplight is getting very difficult to do. It's driving me crazy. Would my warranty fix this problem?
Seems to me a lot of people are getting screwed from their local dealerships. Where do they hire these techs from?? They are all dumb asses that don't know shit. Sorry to see all the problems that everyone is having.
I would love to go up to each one of these lame ass techs that couldn't diagnose a flat tire and smack them in the head. That would just make my day.

they replaced my 04 tranny (due to a noise, but wasn't tranny related cuz even with the new tranny, i have the same noise) with an 05, now I'm having a hard time getting into third gear, sometimes - it just blocks me out. My 04 tranny never did it..

Make sure they show you the clutch and WHY they say it had problems. I still doubt it's the clutch.
There's been lots of SRTs that APPEARED to have the clutch problem when in fact it was either:
1. Shift Fork
2. Selector Broke
3. Input Shaft Snapped
4. Mid Shaft Snapped
It's just hard to just SAY it's the clutch without tearing it really apart to make sure, that's why I doubted the dealer when they wanted me to authorize the repair IF it was the clutch. The guy called himself a Tranny Guy for over 20 years too when he made this stupid mistake. Sure enough it was Selector piece.

Its not your clutch. Make sure you let us know what it turns out to be.
