I went to the track and i was in 2nd gear when i went to go to 3rd i make a mistake and put the car in 5th. So i went to down shift into 4th and the shifter would not move at all i had to drive the car home in 5th gear. So when i got home i took out the battery tray and the shift cables and i pushed the car out of 5th gear now the car wont move at all it feels like is going into gear put the car wont move i can shift the car without using the clucth. A few people said shift selector

it could be the shift selector, yes, but going into 5th istn what would have caused it, what would have caused it would be you shifting it too hard and breaking it from abuse. you can go from any gear you want to any gear you want, it wont affect it. the shift selector is a tiny tab of metal about the size of a pencil eraser. it breaks pretty easy if you shift too hard.

also fyi you can shift without a clutch no matter what, it doesnt matter if its broken or not.

you can replace just the broken tab if you want with an billet one from many of the vendors here on the forums. its not hard to do. i would take the shift selector assembly off of the car and make sure if its broken or not though, cus if it IS broken then you NEED to find that piece. if you dont find it, your gears will. -EEK!-
