Default noise in tranny

hey guys, so i just put in an ACT clutch with the lightweight flywheel and an act TOB and i noticed that when the car is sitting at idle you can hear a rattle coming from the trans and it stops when you push the clutch in... so is it just the TOB like when the car turns off and makes noise so should i be more concerned and take the bell housing cover off and investigate?... and the car runs great plenty of power.. has 4 passes on new clutch and probably over 300 miles of road use.. and nothing else is of any problem .. just that it makes this noise

thanks guys, i appreciate the thought

check the bolts the that hold the clutch to the flexplate\flywheel. If those are loose you will noise that will increase with rpms.

Aluminum Flywheels need to be re-torqued after some miles on them. Try that it should help, at least I hope it does.

Just picked up a srt today, mine is doing the exact same thing, it like rattles when you turn it off, and it does not rattle as much with your foot on the clutch when you turn it off. it also makes noise when running until you press the clutch.

More than likely it's just gear backlash if you're not having any weird vibrations when the car is moving in gear or when releasing the clutch. It's normal and there's not much you can do about it. The lightweight flywheel seems to amplify the vibes and make it more noticeable. It should make more noise when you turn the AC on at idle and put a load on the motor.
