I installed a cm twin disc. Its hard to get in gear from a stop and while driving its not smooth going into gear. Any help would be great on which way i should go to adjust the pedal.

I had the same problem after putting my new clutch in. You need to loosen up the adjusting bolt and pull the pedal as far away from the firewall as you can and tighten the bolt back up. If you are still having a problem you most likely need to replace the Throw Out Bearing fork unfortunately. Mine still catches a little, I'm going to have to replace it. But also make sure that the plastic retaining clip didn't break on the pedal, sometimes if you put a heavier pressure plate in which requires increased pedal effort, it can snap a weakened clip immediately. That also happened to me. Ha. Rage offers a billet solution for that problem though

I had the same issue with my C/M FX 700. But as the last poster stated, adjust it as he mentioned. You can bring it back down about midway after its seated in.

Also, we did notice that the fork will rub on the cover, that's why C/M recommends a pedal stop. We got by that issue by maching the fork down a bit. This has been mentioned to C/M.

I had the 2100 lb clamp pressure diaphram (blue colored finger) and we glazed the disks after 12 passes down the track. It has been sent back to C/M for replacement. I went with an upgraded 2600 lb clamp pressure diaphram (white colored finger) which is very stout on pedal pressure, and yes I'm worried about breaking the retaining clip.

First gear engagement is somewhat tricky to get use to, but the 2600 lb is a totally different story and in my opinion, shouldn't be considered for street use. I would not want to drive it with that clutch in daily traffic.

Shifting through all of the other gears has been very smooth in my case, with 1st gear being the only issue. Yes, letting the clutch out in first gear does make a grunting/studdering noise and also, as you shift between other gears you'll hear a small tweet, like a little bird tweeting. Also, the floaters will rattle at idle. Hope this helps.

One other thing, although they tell you you don't need to break it in (as I did), I'd recommend giving it the 500 mile break in period to avoid glazing the disk and then you should be all set to go.
