Default liberty 2.4L 5spd bolts to srt4 block?

curious to know if the jeep liberty 2.4L 5spd transmisson mates with a srt4 block and if the srt4 block has mounting tabs for mounting brackets on the block?

well its not going on an srt4,its going in a different car.i know i need the cluster too if i wanna start the car,but also curious to know if anyone sells adapters plates for the tranny to like lets say a borg warner t-5 ?

You can use an older supra transmission, the R154 I believe, I know of one guy that used the liberty bellhousing with the bellhousing shaved down half an inch, and the supra trans. You can also PM turbocolt2.4L on here, he makes some adapters for auto transmissions.

so i have to shave half an inch on the bellhousing from the liberty or is it like an input shaft concern?

Yes, and it's to get the correct depth for the input shaft.

ok so the supra tranny bolts up right to the bellhousing,thats crazy that i have to shave the bellhousing for that.never really heard anything like that before and can i use the srt4 flywheel/clutch system?

I think you can use the same flywheel and clutch if I remember right. There was a thread in the DCR section about a guy doing this setup, search through old threads in there for the keyword "liberty", it should bring it up. I would do it for you, but I need to leave in a minute.
