So i purchased and ACT street disk clutch with flywheel and HD pressure plate. New tob and tob fork. However I am still on stock modular clutch. Do i need to purchase new bolts separate? I just keep getting the feeling I am missing something. Just trying to prep everything so it will go smooth. If anyone knows what type of bolts and threat / pitch i would greatly appreciate it. thanks
i reused my flex plate bolts with the act flywheel, 5000 miles and no problems... if you bought new, you'll have all the bolts for the pressure plate included
i reused the flexplate bolts also i have 30,000 on my act street disk setup no problems other than a worn out tob fork i didnt know it should have been replaced when i did my clutch and too lazy to drop tranny again!
Same here. I re-used the bolts from the flexplate. LOCTITE them to prevent any issues. I believe ACT recommends you use it anyways. I also did one a few days ago and re-used them again, and no problems. Replace the pivot ball the fork rides on for the throw out bearing too. Something so simple, you will not want to go in there again.

What i have done do far:
Flux capacitor
High speed exhaust bearings
New glove box gasket
Removed the right mirror for weight reduction
Fresh blinker fluid
And high pressure zerk fittings
hopefully i will be able to save up for the high-flow door panels. i should run 6's after that.
Though you could re-use the OEM flex plate to crank bolts for the ACT flywheel, I would suggest at a minimum to replace them with new ones.
Personally, I wasn't okay with how the underside of the OEM bolt heads seated against the ACT flywheel, so I sourced some ARP bolts. Maybe it's just the anal, aircraft maintainer in me, but I feel better about the set up with the ARP bolts.

so the bolts off the oem clutch come off. i bought used act clutch, and did not come with bolts. trans is being dropped tonight.
Which ACT flywheel do you have? Does it have little holes in it? If so, that is the one pier and the OEM flex plate to crank bolts will work. If you have a dealer near by, people have said the 95 Neon flywheel bolts work well with the ACT flywheel too.
Thats their one piece (latest one). This one uses OEM bolts, or 95 Neon Flywheel bolts, or ARP bolts. Your pick.
I want to thank everyone for their input. Had some stuff come up last minute so got everything started last night and trans is going to come out Sat morning instead.
No prob. I'm on here most everyday. PM/reply if you have any questions along the way. No matter what you WILL need to use red loctite on the flywheel bolts.
Hmm, I used the stock flexplate bolts with the old act flywheel. Never heard anything about this til now. I'm pretty sure when Nigel had this setup he used his stock bolts as well. I did loctite everything though. So the stock bolts don't allow enough threads to grab when using the old act flywheel? Is that what you mean? They tightened up good. I hope I don't have any issues. At least I have a scattershield.

The old style, 2-piece, flywheel is a solid flywheel and is all silver.
Here's a pic of the OEM Flexplate with the OEM Flexplate to crank bolt. Notice the grip length of the threads, and the thickness of the Flexplate.
