A built 41TE four-speed auto from a PT/PT GT probably isn't going to be an option for the SRT-4. The PCM in the SRT-4 isn't set up to drive the electronically controlled shift solenoids. If you're running it on a modified stock turbo PT and/or are
not running a nitrous shot, it will probably hold up OK on your PT. But for the
big power levels that something like an upgraded turbo can put out, the 41TE really isn't the best choice.
A built up hydraulically controlled 3-speed 31TH is what places like DCR and FM are offering and is probably the most reliable, proven, and tested automatic you can run behind the 2.4L if it’s properly prepared.
