Before you buy a clutch, make sure it aint ya tranny thats f#$cking you up. IF it aint ya tranny, IMO, I would say PTP S3. I have one and I'm in the middle of my break in period and I have to say its pretty good so far. Very little chatter which I believe is just the breaking in of a clutch. Softer or lighter than stock too.

My tranny is good. I ain't changed my clutch my car is just hittin 40k miles now. It's not bad everything shifts fine but I just have a feelin that it's startin to wear out. It doesn't shift as smooth as it did before that's all.
I see they have a group buy on ACT clutches.. What's up with those?

i agree with JAMAICANSRT4... i have the ptp s3 and i just finished my break in ... and i like it imma about to put about 300+ alil on stock turbo... and imma holding good... i really aint got to change to my ptp wg yet... still on stock wg(for the break in) and i tell u want i just changed my IC and HOLY SHIT A DIFFERENCE......
but the ptp s3 is softer pedal push than stock.. and it holds 500 hp 500 tq... act is good if u want the puck clutch.. but youll have a sore leg and its engage or not engaged.. no inbetween, they grab hard....
good luck with your choice...

I'm guessing a stage I clutch would be fine for my car.
since I have a suspended license, I'm not doing any more work to my car for a while. I might have a new one by the time I can drive it hard.
are you starting to see the same trend i am? i have one and it is insanely awesome. it amazes me everytime i get in the car, i have had clutchmasters before and this is 100 times better
If your thinkin of going big turbo get a "REAL" performance clutch like a Clutchmaster or ACT.Some people will say they last like 2K miles thats because these clutches DO NOT have a break in period and if u baby them it kills the longevity.Stay away from these one piece clutch that require resurfaces of flywheel..there bs.

Good info man. I was about to buy a Specs Stg II but it does require a resurface.. I was iffy about that.
I don't know what's bad about them but just thinkin about having somebody resurface that plate doesn't sit very well with me.
i have a Clutchmaster Stage 4 i love it but you basically have to spin the tires at every red light its not bad but its great at the track but like the guys said before if you have no plans of a big turbo (GT3076) in my case just get a stage something.....BTW my clutch was $740 shippped from Modern
