Just did the engine rebuild, tranny rebuild, and put it all together with a new ACT 6 puck sprung clutch/flywheel. I used a new Mopar TOB, TOB fork, and pivot ball.
When the car is in neutral and my foot is off the clutch, it rattles like a can of marbles. As soon as I apply just a little pressure to the pedal all the noise instantly goes away. It didnt start making this noise until about 100 miles was on the new setup (no boost yet because of break in period).
My first thought would be TOB, but its a new OEM bearing and its not a squeek, squeel, or chirp, its a loud rattle and sounds like crap.
At first rattling wasn't even noticeable but ever since break in there is always a little rattle at idle with the clutch out. It is supposed to be the stiffer springs in the the clutch disk that cause gear clash.
First thing i thought of was this ^^^ but not sure how bad of a rattle your talking about. That is the sound of flywheel bolts that fell off and are rattling around.

^^ they sound a little bit different. The other one sounds like marbles rattling around and yours sounds like.... i dunno the tob maybe. Your sounds kind of normal but a little louder than it should be. Maybe your camerea is really close the trans or something.
Lyncoo has a solid center disc which is probably why the sound slip of his noise is so severe. There is absolutely no torsional dampening whatsoever on his setup, so the transmission gear teeth clatter much worse than the typical noise using our spring center disc.

No offense taken. I can understand your frustration. Keep in mind, the spring center on the street disc is the same as the race disc, so your power level should determine what disc to get. The noise should be about the same, but much better than your solid center disc.
The topic of spring center versus solid center is going be one of the next discussions in Clutch Chatter (ACT's tech newsletter). I am hoping that reading articles like this will help our customers avoid the frustration you are experiencing also educate our dealers to sell the right parts in the first place. Anyone can sign up for the newsletter on the ACT website.
